  • Doesn't work

It often hangs and when it does, nothing is blocked. So what should be filtered isn't, and the user is able to do what you didn't want them to.

I tried this out because Apple removed the ability to block apps when they got rid of parental controls and replaced it with Screen Time. Fortify does exactly what I need it to do and has a very easy, rational interface.
  • Impossible to delete or reset password

As the person who set this up, I've forgotten what the password was. After wasting an couple hours on this, I cannot figure out how to reset the password or even remove the app from my computer. The developer designed this well for it's intent: It cannot be stopped from running. The downside is if you forget the password like I did, there is no way to reset or uninstall.
  • freezing of the application

I would have given this application a 10/5 stars but i settled for two star because the application keeps freezing at random moments I am using my computer. the app works as it is presented in the app store but hangs and freezes randomly. Moreover when the app hangs you cannot uninstall it or force quit it. Hopefully the developers solve the issue and I will happily change my ratings from a two star to five stars. This app has the potential of altering lives forever if the freezing issue is sorted out.

This app works but feels half complete without a iOS app. IMO. Not only should it have an iOS version , it should sync your settings and only be edible from the desktop app The block list were effective in my testing. That is good because the blocklist apple uses for adult sits are not very complete. They blocked 0 out of 10 sites I tested with. While it’s great on the desktop, it’s not much of a block if you kid can just pull their iPhone or iPad out and pull the blocked site up because the parental controls on theos devices use less complete block lists so odds are it will pull up. So this feels like half of a solution in practice. The simplicity of the app is nice. This app has a much clearer design compared to similar apps. I would like to see more granular block lists like being able to block online game except those below a certain rating but its just something that would be a nice extra. While the app blocking choices are limited in terms of presets that feels less relevant since apps can be effectively managed with screen time. Overall it’s a solid app and worked as advertised. #1 issue- This app badly needs an iOS version for iPhone and for iPad. Conclusion: Someone has put a lot of effort and thought into this app and it shows I hope the developer continues to invest time and improvements into this app because I think it has real potential
  • Malware?

App would not open after purchase. It blocked the terminal application which I did not authorize (and which I need for app development). I used the launchpad to uninstall, but a process was still running. I restarted, and the application appears to be uninstalled. SCARY! Did I just pay money to install malware on my Mac? Was it really all uninstalled, or did it create and hide files in various places? APPLE! Why do you allow this application on your App Store!
  • It's either very buggy or a virus

I installed this app and purchased the upgrade. After purchasing the upgrade I could no longer open my settings menu. I figured it was a bug, so I tried to reopen the app to power it down, but the app would not open. I then decided to try uninstalling it only to find that I could not because despite not opening, it was running in the background. I restarted my computer to see if the issues would go away but they did not. Once I logged back in, I still couldn't open my settings menu or get the app to open (though the app was still running in the background). To solve the problem I had to open the Activity Manager and force quit the application and then quickly move it to the trash, because if I waited more than a few seconds it would reopen. If this was all just a bug, the app needs some serious work.

This app works really well I love it except for the small fact that there is no option to activavate the website blocking and be able to access your computers settings. like I get it but for me it makes the app useless and frusrating cause its so good otherwise.
