  • Doesn't support smart TVs

Most smart TVs use a legacy Cast protocol which used DIAL instead of mDNS for discovery. This extension, unfortunately, does not support those. Hoping to see it improved!

This app has been updated since earlier reviews and works very well. Took a few exiting of my browser and turning WiFi on/off to get it to cast but eventually it cast from YouTube as well as some skateboarding websites. The rating is 4/5 because It will occasionally disconnect but its very easy to reconnect.

Like many reviewers have stated this is not free and when purchased is does not work. I really should have listened to the review before purchasing this. How is this even allowed in the app store with so many poor reviews and reports that this doesn't work.
  • Works better than Chrome! Don't listen to negative reviews!

Everyone complaining is complaining that it is not free. Well regardless, this is a very useful software and is rather cheap as well. Now I can chromecast from Safari, I am surprised by how well it functions. Chrome and Microsoft Edge don't even work this well.

Devices showed up but nothing streamed. Rip off. Ended up installing an app on my Shield to turn it into an airplay device. Much better!

I hate apps like this and delete them immediatly. They say there free but they are not. Surprised apple allows them.

Hello, Thank you for making this much needed extension! While it works for videos, the playback controls don't seem to function and there are no right-click menu options for casting a tab. I'd be happy to help beta test/develop any new versions to help you iron out the remaining bugs. Let me know. Thanks, Alex
  • When in doubt leave it out
