Description

Overview DRAGON QUEST MONSTERS: The Dark Prince comes to smartphones! Compose your very own team of monsters from across the Dragon Quest series and engage in thrilling battles against your foes. Recruit monsters from the wild world around you and combine them to synthesize new creatures as you see fit. With over 500 monsters to choose from and a revamped synthesis system to explore, you can mix and match to you heart's content to create your favorite cute critters and dastardly supervillains, as well as brand-new additions to the monstrous roll call. Your quest to become the greatest monster wrangler of all time starts here! Story This is the tale of Psaro, a young man cursed, and the adventure upon which he and his trusted friends embark. When the curse put upon him by his father, the Master of Monsterkind, renders him incapable of harming any creature of monster blood, Psaro vows to become a monster wrangler in order to break the spell. On his journey, he will befriend many monsters, train them to be stronger, synthesize powerful new allies and take on ever more dangerous foes. Join Psaro and his friends on their campaign for monster-wrangling glory! (The network mode Online Battles from the console version, where players battle one another in real time, is not included.) Game Features - Explore Nadiria, the Magical Monster Realm On his quest for greatness, Psaro will traverse the multifarious Circles of Nadiria. Whether it be made entirely of cake and sweets or fraught with rivers of bubbling lava, each Circle plays host to a wealth of bewitching adventures. As time passes in Nadiria, so too do the seasons change, with different weather conditions tempting new monsters out of hiding and revealing paths to undiscovered areas. The Circles of Nadiria are sure to provide a fresh experience every time you visit. - Over 500 Unique Monsters With such varied environments to explore, you can expect them to be inhabited by a plethora of monsters. While many can be recruited in battle, occasionally a defeated monster will ask to join your team of its own accord. Befriend as many monsters as you can, then combine them to synthesize new creatures and build a unique party to your exact liking. - Enjoy All the DLC from the Console Version The smartphone version includes the DLC packs from the console version: the Mole Hole, Coach Joe's Dungeon Gym and Treasure Trunks. Make the most of their unique features to enhance your adventure. - Test Your Might Against Other Players Register your team for the network mode Quickfire Contests to participate in automated battles against the party data of 30 other players. Once a day you can earn stat-boosting items as a prize, and the monsters from any team you defeat will be added to your roster (up to rank B monsters only). Was wondering if you guys are playing around with the thought of adding controller support? Maybe as an experimental option ? Thanks in advance this port is great! So glad it’s even possible to do this :D Extra note: Also can you add 60 fps for medium settings? It runs really smooth on high settings but I can’t really customize it to do the same on lower resolutions If not it’s all good still love the game. Thank you for this masterpiece
  • Best Monster Wrangler on iOS!

EDIT: Please stop the treasure trunks from opening the privacy policy in a browser every time I go to open the chest. It’s happening every time. Is there someway to get it to recognize that I’ve opened it and read it already? This is one of my favorite JRPGs and monster tamers from the past year on the Switch. And as soon as I started playing it, I thought it would be perfect for mobile! Battle and scout monsters from many different areas, synthesize monsters into new ones, includes DLC (except Japan McDonalds exclusive monsters that I know of), and you can fast travel and save anywhere. Perfect for Dragon Quest fans, monster tamer fans, JRPG fans, and those who like a good grind. Lots to try with this one!

Played this game on the switch and I am ready to relive it on mobile, I just wish it was controller compatible. I know it just came out on mobile, but it would make sense for the game that came out on a console that’s controller compatible would offer the same controller compatibility on mobile. Hopefully, that’s coming soon.

Extremely fun game, it is the only game I’m playing right now, was in the middle of black myth wukong when I happened to stumble across this in the AppStore. Being a fan of dragon quest already since the first one on nes, and of course the first monsters on game boy, I knew to give this a shot. What I didn’t know what how good it would be, already got 35 hours into it, console quality graphics and gameplay on an iPhone game, extremely fun, especially if you are already a fan of the series or jrpgs in general. Best monster catching game on iOS and one of the best jrpgs on iOS, has actual DQ 11 graphics, which makes me hope they port DQ 11 to iOS. Thank you for this one SquareEnix

Already played this in the Switch but this has really good performance and includes all the DLC. This could really use co troller support though to make it even better.
  • There’s a game breaking bug!!!!

I’m about 4 hours into the game at the time of me writing this review and I’ve been having fun with this game. I like the Pokémon style mechanics and the story is pretty interesting so far however there is a game breaking bug. I am playing on the iPhone 14 and I’ve checked Reddit so I know it’s not just me having this issue but players cannot change the monsters from their party and reserves or from there box that holds all the monsters. The drag and drop feature isn’t working and when you go to press and hold on a monster when in the paddox it just gives you the option to remove the monster from your party there is no way to add to your party which is very annoying. So far I’ve been playing the game with the same 4 monsters I captured in my first like 20minutes of gameplay which isn’t a problem now but I want a new team and to try new monsters. Please Square Enix can you fix this issue it’s been 2 weeks since the last patch and we really want to enjoy this game but can’t. Other than that issue the game so far has been amazing. But after paying like $20 for it and missing a major feature like this I feel like I’m being ripped off or just got scammed.

This is legit my first ever AppStore game review. The controls are extremely well optimized and I had zero issues. I hope more Dragon quest games come to mobile, because they did their thing with this one. 10/10 recommended
