This app charges you yearly with literally no explanation as to how to end the “subscription “…..I didn’t sign up for this and have no way to end it. Don’t waste your money there are plenty of other ways to train for a marathon

I'm not sure where all these top reviews are coming from. The app won't talk to issue commands like it's supposed to. I don't trust it for training. Now apple won't refund my money even though I've had it less than a week.

I’m 55 and just ran my first Half Marathon & I used this app to train. Now I’m motivated to train for the full distance.
  • This app has some significant bugs

There are quite a few problems with this app. Firstly the program will jump to the end even with a simple hard stride - this has happened over and over - if my iPhone is in my running pocket or an arm band iPhone holder. The other major problem is that if I’m on a 150 program the app timer gets stuck and will not stop running so for instance a 150 minute program can run on for 5 hours. These 2 problems need to get fixed ASAP.

It is kind of sad that you can’t type your desired finish time? Or did I miss something?
  • Not much to it.

I found it to be just a gps and not much more. I am sure if you paid for the upgrade it would be better but I am not willing to spend the money to find out if the basic is so feature basic I can’t tell what it does.

I used the 5k app to start running again after several years and the 21K app to train for my 1st half marathon. Loved both. Kept me motivated and on track. Bought the 42k to train for my first marathon. Highly recommended.

Overweight and out of shape after two back to back pregnancies, I decided I wanted to run. I made a goal of running a half marathon. I started with the 10K runner app from the same developer. Loved it so much that I moved on to the 21K runner app. And now that I’m comfortably running 12-14 miles I decided to train for my first marathon. I was elated to see the marathon (42k) training app. These apps have helped me lose 90 lbs and go from a 20 minute mile to a 9 minute mile. My only 2 complaints (and I don’t remember if this was an issue on the other apps) is that that I use a run buddy on some runs and a flip belt on other runs; because these runs are longer I often don’t pay attention to my phone. I like to let go and just run. Sometimes due to friction my phone will exit out of the app and be on another screen (even though I use the lock feature on the app) I wish there was a way to make sure that it stays on the app screen so that I don’t have to worry about accidentally sending texts or accessing other things during a run. Also when it exits out, it doesn’t allow me to hear notifications (ive checked my settings and my phone and everything is correct) I’m going to try utilizing the guided access feature on my phone for the next run to see if that helps. Secondly I’m not sure if this app is optimized for the Apple Watch. With the other apps, even when I didn’t hear the notifications I got a vibration to my wrist to “run” or “walk” or that I had “reached the halfway point”. I checked my watch and this app isn’t listed as one that can be downloaded. This makes my runs harder Bc I have to focus on the time. And of course that makes a 14 mile run seem even longer. All in all, I LOVE this app. I wouldn’t trade it for any other. Hoping they have one for triathlon training which is my next goal.
