    I cant tell you enough about this app. Once you get familiar with it you can make prints fast. Best Part? No liscencing needed. I Hope that doesnt change. If youre thinking why would I pay 15bucks when im not sure if its a good app. well let me tell you I thought the same thing and I can honestly say it was worth it.

    I saved my work, then re-opened the file only to see that nothing was saved! Total garabage softare. I would like my money back!
  • Repurposed General Drawing App ... Meh

    There's nothing super circuit design-ish about it, just a library of shapes related to circuits. It's a decent drawing app, but there are better ones out there. If you're looking to lay out circuits, I'd look elsewhere.

    This is actually a pretty go-to app for me these days. I have Vectorworks for all my serious work, but when I just need to make quick and simple diagrams and layouts, this serves that purpose just fine. Took a while to make all the custom objects since I couldn't import but wasn't so bad. Sometimes handles things in odd ways but I haven't seen any app like this that does things perfectly. All in all, I would definitely recommend it. Would be cool to see some more development on it and new features.
  • Does the Job and I found it intuitive to use 1st time.

    I didn't have to struggle to get the diagram i needed documented and it printed out very nicely. Thanks!

    Used to design - diagram electrical circuts for experimental and antique aircraft. Great program for showing circut layouts and components for operatiing handbooks for individuals with limited electrical knowledge { Like Me }
  • does the job

    if you're designing electrical circuits it does the job. It's a little quirky and difficult to use but all those connected graph electrical design apps are. it certainly worked for me in doing the circuit design for my boat including all of the dc and ac electrical circuits, alternators, batteries, switches, inverters, motors, wire routing, etc.
  • Okay, But Needs Improvements

    After trying out several different schematic drawing apps over the last couple days, this one so far has a reasonable balance of usability versus price. Unfortunately, there are several bugs and lacking features which impede its usage as a practical schematic drawing tool, some of which have already been mentioned by multiple other reviewers. Wire drawing and editing is no way near as elegant as Cadence software, which is understandable at its $14.99 price point but it would be wonderful if wire routing didn’t generate looking like pre-schooler doodling. I really do not like at all how wires loop around ridiculously for short-distance connections between two points with no way of simplifying the path. “Smart” line connectors aren’t that smart and cause shared segments with other objects requiring manual editing to separate them. Snapping to grid is very odd, because snap locations when moving shapes do not align at all with the visible grid! I also do not like that labels cannot be attached to component terminals, especially for "Unspecified Component" shapes! How many schematics have you seen where component terminals aren’t labelled? Seriously. Shapes seem to change size when moving them. When I resize a shape to a specific size, copy/paste the shape, then move the copy…the copied shape shrinks in size when moving. Also when moving, shapes that were all aligned to each other cleanly (with snapping) get garbled and distorted when moving to a different location. Lines which were straight end up being all crooked, even if grouping all the shapes before moving. That is bad. Rotating a shape does not rotate its label text. There should be a separate control in the text formatting window for rotation. The text formatting window also should not be WYSIWYG, as smaller font sizes makes for difficult text editing. When dragging a selection box around multiple shapes, many of the shapes completely enclosed by the selection box end up not getting selected - so be sure to examine very closely before copying, moving, etc. For some reason the developer chose to implement adding of shapes to a selection with command-click instead of the global standard of shift-click, so I’m constantly inadvertently losing my selection when intending to add to it (ingrained habit of shift-click for adding items to a selection). It would be useful if groupings in the More Shapes list were collapsable - I don’t need to see ALL the shapes when looking for a particular one and not knowing what it’s named for using Search. There is no option for placing integrated circuits (ICs). When creating a custom New Shape for making an IC, the editor does not include tools for aligning/distributing objects, no visible grid or grid-snapping, no text labels, and worst of all - no connection points. Not supporting standard ICs is bad enough, but not providing useful tools for creating IC symbols manually is worse. This app desperately needs a “Connection point” option added to the “Insert” menu when creating/editing a shape! Without specific connection points, custom shapes are WORTHLESS because you cannot properly route to them. Editing a custom shape is very unintuitive - instead of selecting some sort of Modify or Edit option in the More Shapes list, you instead select an instance of the shape and then choose Modify > Edit Points. Normally, an Edit Points function would edit only the points of a selected object, not the shape template master. For some reason, every command reverts back to More Shapes instead of remaining on the selected command. So for example, after drawing a wire you need to re-select the wire tool to draw another wire. Dumb! Each tool should remain selected as the current tool until selecting a different tool. Lastly, there is no "Feature Request" or "Provide Feedback" option, so you can forget about reporting any issues or functionality requests to the developer. In a lot of ways this app is better than several other schematic apps I’ve test-driven, but it’s very quirky and has a LOT of room for improvement. Downgrading to one star after using the app for a week.
  • only good if your symbol is already in program

    user defined symbols lacks a way to place or customize snaps. this is is a killer.
  • Painfully Basic

    This App has a very basic shape/object creation. You cannot add custom “snaps” to object, meaning wherever they automatically put wire connections on a shape is all you have to choose from. I bought this because a review said It was good for automotive wiring schematics, which it is not. The Help page on how to use this is not helpful, and there seems to be no online community for custom object/help.
