Tower of God: NEW WORLD

For the first year I played it was fun, but as you get closer to the end game you’ll realized that your actions in the game are highly repetitive with little to no progress…unless you spend money. Events have turned from earning some good rewards for playing the game to pay for our special tickets to get rewards in events that don’t offer exclusive content for playing. I love the TOG universe, but this game has started to feel disconnected from it for me.

I rated it this way since I played as a guest and forgot to link so when a new update came out like this one I thought let’s play and finally link my acct but what happens so suddenly I glitch where it kicks me out and dosent give me a chance to log back in or link it to another one making me lose my acct all together now.

Listen I don’t typically do reviews. Almost never but I feel like something needs to be said. I LOVE the WEBTOON TOG, but this game while it started off amazing has slowly descended into a boring grind with rewards that are becoming more and more costly. Their reoccurring bi weekly stories are the same thing on repeat and they want you to spend a LOT of suspendium just to get 1 SSR + break stone. ONE. It takes 21 copies of a SSR+ to max them out. I’ve been playing for over a year and I have 1 SSR+ maxed out. You’re expected to grind out 70000 event points and if you don’t use any suspendium you’ll be lucky to crack 12000 event points before the time runs out. This has been complained about in the community and the devs just say that they feel it’s fair so it will stay that way. If you want to stay relevant with the game you need to pull for the latest SSR + that comes out every 2-4 weeks and unless you’re a whale you’re not going to max that character out for a long time unless you use all your resources and don’t plan on summing for another SSR+ in a while. They are popping out SSR+ characters so fast that by the time you can build up one that is useable there are 4 more that have come along. This has made SSR characters almost irrelevant for mid and late game play. If you tell the devs this, they will tell you how you’re not utilizing the character right and it’s your fault. Am I still playing? For the time being I am but the only reason is because I have so much love for the WEBTOON. It’s very discouraging to see them going in the wrong direction in this game and I believe this game needs a hard overhaul. To sum up my rant: Should you play this game? If you’re a fan of the series it should entertain you for a bit but unless you’re willing to open up your wallet to this game you will not be successful in getting to the end game. I hope someone finds this helpful or that somehow this can get back to netmarble before it’s too late and this game ends up dead in the next couple of years.

Game gives u good rates early on and nowadays everyone agrees they trashed the rates very badly to try to make you spend more money. Game is NOT Free to play friendly. You will waste your time. Amazing first day of playing but afterward is just a Waste of time

I personally have a huge love for the TOG franchise and have put in almost a 1 1/2 years into this game but I started fading away from it because netmarble always shows how scummy they are with the cash grabs, they promise f2p friendly experiences, do not be fooled. To even make a dent in this game you have to spend money, AND NOT A SMALL AMOUNT. The character designs seem like the devs don’t know how to build characters at all, then will say flat out it’s a skill issue! Then on top of that, they introduced expirable currency so any thoughts of saving for new characters forget about it, tell me how that’s free to play friendly?? And if you are playing on mobile be ready to be holding a phone that is 90 degrees that also needs to stay charged because it will drain your battery instantly. I really still want to see this games success, but if it doesn’t change for the better and crashes so be it! No one to blame but themselves.

this game wasted a lot of good stuff to make this game amazing and playable for very long years 1- we need more ssr chars then SSR+ cause it’s just expensive and the rate is just trash 2- the dumb expired gems 3- more focus on the middle game ppl then just focus on the whales 4-more new chars! Then drop the same chars over and over again cause this game have a lot of chars that we didn’t even see 5- why dropping teenage mercenary when y’all know ppl been hyped about solo leveling 6-focus on the game content creators and hear them 7-more rewards 8- we want better shop 9- more chars that doesn’t need a lot of dupes

Progression is slow and there are way to many high rarity which doesn’t give us time save up because expirable suspendium is a thing.

The only thing I’ll say that I would probably like to see the game is more character, selection, upgrade ability, and the ability to play open worldly

All I have to say is I try to get into this game and it seems like it could be fun. However it crashes every 5-10 minutes….
