Description

Bitdefender Password Manager is the ultra-secure password manager service built on top of Bitdefender’s long history of elite detection, protection, performance, ease of use and unique user experience. Forget about using the same five passwords over and over again. Forget about the need to constantly come up with new and strong options. Forget about having to remember which password goes with which account. Bitdefender Password Manager gives you end-to-end data encryption. We help keep your passwords safe and your mind free from password clutter. • Strongest known data security protocols – equipped with AES-256-CCM, SHA512, BCRYPT, HTTPS and WSS protocols for data transmission. All data is encrypted and decrypted locally, the account holder alone having access to the Master Password. • Runs and syncs on multiple platforms and browsers – wherever you need us: desktop browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge ) or as a mobile app. Once saved, you can access your passwords from a PC, a Mac, or a mobile device running iOS or others, with the help of a single Master Password. • Imports your data easily – from Bitdefender Wallet, 1Password, Bitwarden, Chrome browser, Dashlane, LastPass, Firefox browser, Sticky Password, and a multitude of file formats such as json, csv, xml, txt, 1pif and fsk. • Your very own password strength advisor – we believe in “better safe than sorry”, so we provide you with a password strength check that tells you immediately if a password needs more complexity. Plus, we have the hassle-free option to generate random and extremely complex passwords with a single click if that works better for you. • Secures your shopping experience thanks to credit cards management feature–autofill in your payment details and store them securely to save precious time with every online order. • Simplifies the management of your online identities – autofill different online forms with personal data without any worries: all data is encrypted locally, and no third party has access to it. • Constantly have to re-log-in

App is great if and when it updates your passwords from your other devices to your iPhone vault. I’ve had to uninstall and reinstall three times to get my accounts to transfer from my pc to my iPhone. It also won’t log you in with your pin if you are inactive on the app for more than a day. I constantly have to re-log-in on the fly to get access to my passwords.

Worked fine for a while then suddenly stopped. Just sits there and spins after entering passcode. Kind of pointless to store my passwords here when I can’t even get pass the loading wheel.
  • 2FA Not Included

If you set up 2FA on Bitdefender Password Manager through the chrome extension or through the console, you will not have access to those codes on this app. Highly inconvenient and a rather large oversight. I should see my two factor authentication codes here if I need them. If they are included, and I just simply haven’t found them yet, then that’s a problem with the UI.
  • Hadn’t worked well in months

This app doesn’t open up when I put in my pin. It defeats the purpose of having a password manager I can use on my phone. I tried to contact support before rating but there wasn’t an option to contact support about the password manager app.

Can’t get logged in on iPhone or iPad both have correct credentials and the app won’t let me in. Works great in a browser but the app has some issues
  • Used to work

It used to work perfectly until recently, I would use Face ID and it would not register it. And when I input the passcode it would sit on a loading ring forever
  • Needs work

App no longer works for me. Opens to let me type in my passcode and then sits on the loading ring forever. Decent interactivity before the update that stopped logging in when retrieving passwords. Wish it had more accessibility when creating new passwords on the website rather than current workflow of: get to create login page of website - hit “choose own password” on iPhone pop up - open this app - type in website (more than likely does not pull up on quick fill list) - generate new password - then copy paste over both sets of info in both places. Another nice to have would be check boxes for the different parameters the website allows for passwords (sometimes special characters allowed do not overlap between the two forcing manually deleting/replacing some). Also allowing for a transfer of apple passwords over would be an amazing time saver.
  • Not Up To Par

I have been trying Bitdefender Password Manager on both my iPad and my Windows Desktop. There is a lot of work needed on both before they are ready for general public use. To me, it looks like Bitdefender did not look at the competition and just developed an app the way they thought it should be. Too many quirks, things that just don’t act the way they should. I have decided to go back to 1Password on all my devices.
  • Wish I could

I can not rate this app and how well it works because I can not sign in or access my account because I can NOT retrieve my passcode or unlock my vault because I can't find my master password or retrieve it because I do not have a laptop. There is NOTHING more frustrating.
