  • What happened to PDF clipping?

Every single time I try to clip a PDF, I end up with a broken untitled attachment in Evernote. What is going on here?
  • needs to login too often

On 7.3.4 apparently the login to evernote expires about once a day or even more often. This slows down the process of saving a page: first another tab opens from which the clipper logs itself in. An annoying slowdown in the workflow.
  • Trash, just like the standalone app

This used to be such good software, but now it's congealed into a puddle of sludge. Even the web clipper is sad. It continually needs to be reinstalled to work properly. It can't even hold only settings for more than a few days before the clipper barfs and resets to the default.

similar to mistfall, when trying to clip in Safari, instead of clipping, it opens log-in window/tab--despite desktop app already open. ocassionally, unin-stall and re-install works but most of the time it doesn't. problem has been going on for 3 months. Evernote help is NOT helpful--blames Safari and user extensions.... web clipper is my only Safari extension on a 3 month old MAC.

  • Doesn't work at all

Useless. Attempting to enable permissions just goes in a circle - try to clip a web page and it says you have to change permissions. Simply doesn't work at all - just like the rest of Evernote. Totally gone to crap since Bending Spoons bought it.
  • Used to be awesome. Now constantly breaks.

When this clipper works, it is incredibly useful. Problem is, it frequently stops working. It asks me to log in to Evernote. When I do, it just opens the login screen again and asks me to log in again. Over and over. Equally bad on Safari and Firefox. Once it insisted I verify my account by logging in to via an email link. I tried, and the login screen it took me too wouldn't accept my login information. This repeated demand for a login happens even if I am logged in to the desktop application. I appreciate the dedication to security, but there's something here making the clipper unusable. It may be time to switch to another note app, like Bear. I can still copy-and-paste info from web pages into Evernote, but it is so much less convenient, and I can't filter out the ads and menus by copy-and-paste, whereas the clipper could do that. Formerly. When it used to work.
  • Great--until it stops working

This is just about the only real web "clipping" software..and it shows. I have had many, many issues with it running on Safari (customer service is OK but kinda robotic)...things turn on and off for no reason...latest being the Web Clipper--without which the app is essentially useless...just stopped working, prolly because of some glitch in the new OS. Use at your peril, and pray.

It just doesn't work any longer. Used it for years and didn't realize how dependant I'd become on it. The loss of functionality has impacted my work-flow and it's driving me nuts. Can't find anything else like it.
