  • One of the worst pieces of software ever made.

Evernote is, without a doubt, the worst piece of software I have ever had the misfortune of using. What was once a promising productivity tool has devolved into a bloated, buggy, and painfully slow mess. Every update somehow manages to make things worse. Syncing? A joke. Notes randomly disappear, duplicate, or refuse to load when you need them most. The app crashes at the worst possible times, and the lag is unbearable even on high-end devices. The UI? Clunky and unintuitive. The pricing? Insulting. They want you to pay a premium for a service that can't even handle the basics reliably. Customer support? Non-existent. Expect canned responses and no real solutions and no human support. Evernote is the definition of how to ruin a once-great product. If you value your sanity, run far, far away from this disaster. Plenty of better alternatives exist that won’t leave you pulling your hair out. 0/10 – Wouldn’t recommend to my worst enemy.
  • No Longer Worth It

Evernote used to be a great (free) app for note taking, and I loved its “sister app” Scannable (also free) for its ease of use and functionality. Now apparently both apps cost a not insignificant amount of money for the same basic features previously offered free of charge. The UI has become clunky and overloaded with unnecessary features while making it extremely difficult to figure out how to use the most basic features. I mostly take notes with pen + paper, and I have a printer with scanning capability, but these apps were a good choice on the go. I don’t use either frequently enough or consider them functional enough to justify the cost. Extremely disappointing to see this blatant money grab coupled with a decrease in quality—I’ll be deleting both apps.
  • Used to be a great app, but the software is garbage

The concept of Evernote is great, and I have stuck with them on a paid subscription for many years. But good grief, they just can’t write software to save their lives. The latest version literally breaks text editing. Yup, this is a company that cannot do basic text editing without screwing it up. Just unbelievable. Even though I have thousands of notes I am going to port to another platform.
  • Can't log in

Trying to log in on my macbook air and it just keeps glitching or something and won't let me log in. I love this app but you need to fix some bugs
  • What happened to the Evernote we loved?!

Once my "go to" app for storing notes, sites, and thoughts, it's now turned into something for everyone (but no one asked). And with that a massive price increase to nearly twice what I pay for a Microsoft Office account. I've transitioned over to OneNote (comes with Office for free) and Bubblup which is a great storage organizer for web pages and notes)
  • Used this app for ten years... and moving on you shoudl too

I have used this app since the beginning. It is gotten exceedingly expensive for no to little customer support. Had an issue with login and syncing and can't even get anyone to email me back. There are much better apps available. It will be a pain to switch over, but so be it.
  • Account confusion and Jacked price

Evernote can't seem to get my account and email address sorted out and switches them. There is little support to help with this. The price has also tripled without many useful new features. If things aren't better soon, I'll be migrating off Evernote.

This use to be the best app I own, it has turned in to a complete mess. They have lost their way and sadly think more features and questionable functionality is the way forward. They are just digging a deeper hole.
  • Quality and features haven’t improved over time

Innovation in the app has come to a halt years ago. The incredibly intrusive nagging to pay for premium has actually made me stop using the app. Like really, even after I say no I get another pop up….?
  • SO bad now, run by scammers - avoid

Used to be good a decade ago, now it’s complete trash. I had a paid subscription and still had to upgrade again to access more than 50 notes. Such a scam, just use Apple Notes or really anything else. They’re just milking their old users, and there’s no reason for new users to use this anymore. Avoid at all costs.
