The labels at not centered and I have to trim with scissors regardless of the settings. Sometimes, the label prints and when I cut the remainder of the label is still in the machine. I have another Brother label maker and it’s great.
  • Convenient but flaky

It’s very handy for making labels from wherever I am with my iPad and PT710. But it’s awkward to use and somewhat buggy. Awkward example: it can chain labels to save tape but I don’t see any option to advance and cut without printing, so I have to remember to change print settings before I print my last label, assuming I even know it’s my last. A bug: sometimes it pops up a floating ‘proofreadrewrite’ button that covers the text I’m editing and generally won’t go away except sometimes if I tap it, it brings up a menu that covers up even more of the app and won’t go away no matter what I tap on. I end up killing and restarting the app and just hope I saved my work recently enough.
  • Doesn’t meet potential

App keeps shutting down and I lose my work that’s not saved. Wish it allowed me to move images and text like their iPrint app. Would also love gridlines.

It’s not intuitive. I still didn’t know how to rotate the text…
  • Poor Connectivity and Options

The Bluetooth connection requires what should be unnecessary steps. Sometimes I just want to print today’s date without having to type it myself. Both items are fairly trivial to code.

Impossible to connect with my phone Bluetooth I’m trying to send it back as fast as I can.
  • Refuses to make labels with more than five point font.

You can’t specify the point size for the font when you make a label. It refuses to make it much larger than about five points so you have to squint in order to read the type. What a piece of junk.
  • No Native iPad Support?! How?!

How in the world this app doesn’t natively support the iPad is beyond me. Especially since the other version for older model label printers does. Will update stars to 5 once they add native iPad support!
  • I like the printer but

I haven’t yet been able to print a label that wasn’t either cut-off by the printer or where the label wasn’t too long with a lot of waste.
  • Love it with one minor exception

I love this app and my P-touch Cube. I use it for stock labels for our business, along with labels for everything in the house that needs labeling. It is easy to use and easy to create good looking labels. The one thing that bugs me is not being able to insert barcodes or QR codes. I can using the iPrint&Label app, but the interface is far less appealing.
