I have used this on both IBM and Apple products since Ver 2.? The program and study material are outstanding on all devices. Easy to use, write comentary and print. I have just about written my own Bible commentary over the years. I am currently using it to help me study biblical Greek.

I have tried many different computer editions of the bible, there are some VERY expensive and some free, but I haven't yet come to one as well built for the money with EVERY resource you could ever need to be a God glorifying preacher/teacher.

I bought this app because i had it an pc few years back. I just purchase it so I can do cross-search, look biblical reference and more in my laptop on spanish. When i look to download the spanish bible I had to pay $9.99 more just to have it. I think that should be inlcuded with the app. I wont recommend this app unless the developer do some changes.

I was looking for catolic resources and there´s nothing, like bibles or dictionaries. For windows you can find them, but not for mac
  • Jeremy in KJV???

Although I love listening to the Bible on this app, it irritates me that Jeremy is used in place of Jeremiah in the NT portion of the KJV. Why in the world would they do that?

Big Sur is the last MacOD version this worked on for me correctly. Since then it will not remember my pane settings and will not open with a bible pipulating the bibloe pane. It must be adjusted every opening and a bible reselected every opening. I asked for help in the forums but didn't get anyhthing that worked. It is usable, but it's annoying to have to reset my panes and bible every session.

It's almost like you have to take a course for this app. Difficult to navigate, and make things work, the dictionary nor commentary works, I can't get anything to pop up after a search. The comments section never saves any notes and won't allow me to have more than two journals for different sections of study.

I've used e-Sword for a few years now, starting with the PC version. I now also have the iPhone, iPad, and macOS versions. I've purchased a large percentage of the resources from estudysource.com (plus the NET and NASB bibles), as well as downloading a few others from biblesupport.com. Pros: 1) I really like that the modules are downloaded locally so that an internet connection isn't required to use the app. 2) I like that (at least on the Windows and macOS versions), the downloaded resources can be backed up locally as well. 3) Paid add-on modules tend to be much less expensive than other apps (Logos, Olive Tree, etc). Cons: 1) Available resources are somewhat limited compared to some of the other apps. 2) Probably the biggest for me - there's no sync across devices. If you only use e-Sword for *reading* content, that's not a big deal. But if you're *creating* content (highlights, bookmarks, notes, etc.) and you use multiple devices, you'll want to look for a different app. There *is* now a way to backup and import your highlights/bookmarks/notes on each device, but it's a manual process. If you made any new highlights or notes on your iPhone, you need to remember to manually backup your content to iCloud/Dropbox/OneDrive/etc., then import that content into e-Sword on your iPad/PC/Mac in order to have it show up there. It's way too easy to forget and then overwrite work you've already done. Seamless syncing of user content would raise my rating to 5 stars.
