About Cook’s Country Cook’s Country, launched in 2006, is located just outside Boston where a team of more than three dozen test cooks, editors, and cookware specialists work in a 2,500-square-foot test kitchen. Our mission is to test recipes over and over again until we understand how and why they work and until we arrive at the “best” version of a particular recipe. The result, we hope, is the best version of a particular recipe, but we realize that only you can be the final judge of our success (or failure). As we like to say in the test kitchen, “We make the mistakes so you don’t have to.” Cook’s Country recipes, testings, and tastings can be found in Cook’s Country magazine and cookbooks, online at CooksCountry.com, or featured on our public television show, Cook’s Country from America’s Test Kitchen.

Love the magazine! Totally dislike the new format that they are blaming on “working from home”.

Fix your web sites, How often do you expect your customer to log in!? Once per session is enough! Fix it or lose me!
  • Lost Favorites and Restore not working

I relied on your Prime Rib with Vegetables recipe every year for Christmas and had it set as a favorite to access it quickly. Now, not only is the favorite lost and I had to spend 20 minutes looking for it, but when I try to open the issue you’re trying to charge me again to download it. Restore purchases says its successful but clearly it’s not given that this one isn’t restoring. Now it’s Christmas morning and I have to come up with another plan instead of spending time with my family. Cook’s has gone downhill ever since the last editor left.
  • Cook’s Country says they are not responsible for this app.

The new update is worthless. Called to ask about changes in the online magazine. I was told they have Nothing to do with this App. I should call “whoever does” I was told on the phone they don’t know who to talk to. There are a step by step instructions on some recipes. Which I did find very helpful. Recently they changed the instructions on the step by step. It has become useless. It is odd that Cook’s Country won’t claim this as their magazine and can’t tell who to talk to.

Runs only in miniature portrait mode, saving is impossible. Since Chris left this site is headed for the outhouse.

I loved this app until now, I can no longer save or access my favorite recipes. Older issues are in magazine form I can longer scroll to how to make step by step instructions and additional info is no longer available. Extremely Disappointed, will probably cancel my subscription.

I’ve been a subscriber to the app for years now and am pretty disappointed in the newest update. Any of the back issues before this year are just PDF copies of the paper magazines. All of the step-by-steps are gone. I liked the app version for these extra features. The current year has this, but once the year is over, I’m sure those will be converted over as well. Seriously considering unsubscribing.
