  • Useless without a subscribtion

Stay away from this app. While mobile app is great, desktop version requires paid subscribtion and will not even open without it. Wish I could leave zero stars, bc one star is wayy to many for this scam.
  • Good app, but expensive

This app works pretty good and incudes lots of helpful features but for $50 it does not include a photo editor in-app like the mobile version and I wish it allowed you to upload 6 photos rather than only 4. It would also be handy if you could select multiple items and change a specific value for all of them in one go rather than having to go through every single item whenever I change the storage location of my films. The price is mostly only worth it if you have various different types of collections where it's more convenient to see and organize them on a laptop/desktop vs iPad/iPhone.
  • Disappointed

I was very attracted to the fact that there was a Mac app to catalog my comic books. Was disappointed to learn that storage is iCloud only. But the reason for the 2 stars is that iCollect Everything doesn't read the full UPC code on my comic books. (They don't read the 5 digit extention on the UPC barcode.) Entering the data was too cumbersome. This drove me to a different product that was half the price for a year's subscription. Entering my comic book data is simpler (faster) and I can backup my data to my local computer. Sadly this company doesn't a Mac based application, but the ease of imput is worth the extra cost.
  • Not worth the price

I bought the Mac and iPhone apps (yeah, you have to pay for both separately). I like the iPhone app, but the Mac app is nowhere near worth the $60 price. I've had the app for all of an hour and it's crashed or frozen 3 times. Super disappointing.
  • I (mostly) love it

The only thing I love more than collecting things is cataloging the things I collect, and this app is exactly what I was looking for. I originally downloaded the iPhone version to keep track of Hallmark ornaments, but it's great I can use the full version for basically everything. I have thankfully not lost any data like everyone else. I am giving it 4 stars because it is definitely buggy and a work in progress. I desperately wish there was a mass edit function, and I do wish that for the price, the Mac version had a little more functionality than the iPhone version. But if your goal is to catalog collectables, this app does exactly that, and it does it quite well, minus the hiccups.
  • No Problems so far

To date, I've been using this program for several months now, very cautiously due to the reviews I read before I purchased it, and am happy to report no problems to date. I've been very happy with the package overall. I use both the iOS and MacOS versions, and will eventually get the Windows version when it becomes available. I did create an online id with iCollect before getting started, perhaps that is the key to minimizing some of the issues people have experienced. The only real request I have is that there doesn't seem to be a camera interface available in the MacOS version.
  • Awful. Undependable. Crash.

Imagine spending hours entering in your favorite collectibles only to have the database crash and all your work is unrecoverable. Then you have imagined your way into the iCollect universe. DO NOT waste your time. This software is the very worst out there. Worse, you will spend money to expand your collection beyond there "free" limit. Apple should pull this from the app store until iCollect can successfully debug their product. And then, they should be banned for simply being an unresponsive vendor. Why two stars and not 1? Algorithm folks, all about the algorithm.

Has potentional but very flaky, sad to $50 for this. The app fires up sometimes and other times it wont. The creator had a great idea just not excuted. I have spent the last 2 days inputting data, only for it to disappear. The app is very bad on the desktop, most of the time you open the app it just spins thinking and never give you your data
  • Loses Data

I started using the app thinking it was perfect for what I wanted. Easy sync between computer and phone. However, I spent a lot of time adding many items over the holidays and they had a server issue and lost all data entered over about 2 months. I had purchased the app during that timeframe as I had time off to work on cataloging my collection over the holidays. Literally lost all the work I did in that time. I've asked for a refund from both Apple and the Developer and both have denied this. This seems like a major problem that they can just completely lose your data and frankly they don't seem to care at all. I've tried to tell them that this wasted many hours worth of my time and I don't think this is unreasonable to request a refund for a fairly expensive app that did not perform the way it should. Even a partial refund would be nice for wasting my time. Would not recommend. Developer does not care about protecting your data.

Purchased the app for my iphone as well as my imac, scanned all my movies on my iphone, it showed up on the imac fine but was gone from my iphone, figured to log out of the imac to see if it would show up on my iphone, but no, then when logged back into my iMac there was nothing, so I lost all the info I scanned. The program needs to make it easy for some to reimport data once saved, currently it looks like you have to send the data back to the app provided for them to reimport, would be nice for the user to have the ability reimport as required
