I’ve tried a couple other apps, trying to get ready for my first half marathon. On the others, the first week was free, then you had to pay to see the training breakdown for the day! (Also, didn’t know that because it wasn’t advertised!) However, run with Hal has been awesome! Spot on plan and I feel like I’m getting close to being ready for my race! Thanks Hal!

Half the time the app closes mid run. Other than the schedule this app has provided no value. And once you set it up you can’t adapt the plan despite saying you can personalize it
  • Doesn’t work

I am using the free version. I did one race to see how it works. Then tried to create/modify a new plan and each time, my race date is 28 days out regardless of when I set the race date. Closed app / restarted phone. I have used these plans before not knowing there was an app. Was a little excited to see one. Wished it worked.
  • Updates Ruined the App

The developers updates the app and absolutely ruined it. I used the Run with Hal app for about a year and I saw incredible results. I set more PR’s and ran longer distances than ever before. For some reason, the developers felt the need to remove the feature that users could set a “goal time” before the training program started. Now it feels like I am running with no goal at all with this app, so I am moving on to something else.

I started running last year. I did my first half marathon using this app to train. It has everything you need and not a bunch of confusing or useless features.

I’m trying to update my plan and it just spins on the archiving data screen. I’ve un and re installed, same thing. Going to have to get a different running app.

I like how the app gives me a schedule and goals to reach. I don’t like that it doesn’t connect with an Apple Watch.
