Since getting this app, my spam calls have gone from at least 50 per day to less than 5 per day! So easy to use! Can’t wait until I am able to upgrade! I can’t thank Hiya enough!

Can't open this app. It does not need to be updated. I pay for this app. Please fix

A scam in plain view. Check their website - they advertise their services to call centers promising them to increase their call rates. Amazing - they tell us they stop telemarketers while at the same time tell call centers that if they purchase their services they can make more targets calls. Guess how…? By selling them our data of course!

Really wanted to like this app. I get a ton of spoofed calls and other scam calls. They almost all come from two New York area codes. Hiya offers “prefix blocking” so blocked those two prefixes. But all of those calls still come through on my phone. Also since I’ve got the app the amount of scam calls I’ve gotten has about tripled making me think if you sign up for this service they have fake numbers call you on purpose to try to prove it works. I tried to contact support about my issues with the app. After 10 days they responded with “sorry it took us so long to respond do you still need help?”. Yes. I still needed help. You never responded. Responded to that. Been 10 days again with no follow up. Don’t waste your money. Don’t believe that they care when they follow up on this review with a “please reach out and we will help you” either. They’re just trying to save face.

Call screening setup has no way to exit if it doesn’t work. Tried deleting app and reinstalling… same issue. Go somewhere else.

My opinion

I relied on this app for several years but their total lack of support recently has made me feel cheated. I have reported a genuine bug three times and received either no response or useless boilerplate. Read their “support” policy before buying. They admit they may not reply to you. I’m done with Hiya.

Works great!

This app was good when I first downloaded it, but it no longer marks spam unless I have put in the number previously and marked it as spam. It now offers more info on a number if I upgrade to the paid version. I get better results looking up the number online.
