Time for me to get off of Google. Used to be a good product.

This has been one of my favorite apps for a very long time. However, I’ve noticed recently that more and more bugs are being introduced. Strange bugs. For instance, entering notes/comments on a photo was pretty straight forward…it’s a standard text area…but now, it’s impossible to use. You can’t enter carriage returns, when you click into the text the text all shifts and realigns, and if you click again it does the same thing. The page jumps and it’s just not functional. This is just one of many features that I find either buggy or just cumbersome to work with. Other awesome features have been removed. Disappointing, especially since I’m paying Google lots of money for storage. They also make it difficult to download/remove large quantities of your photos. Clearly by design. Maybe one day we’ll have better alternatives. I’ll be on the lookout for sure.

No matter what I do the updates tab or albums icon, I cannot see what my family shares with me. Help

I’ve been using Google Photos for forever!! Recently I’ve been finding it’s not been so reliable….my albums one day suddenly all disappeared and I have no idea what happened, I’m trying to make space in by deleting some videos and photos and I can’t delete them….I’ve already upgraded the storage space once I don’t want to pay more because well obviously I don’t want to pay more and because of all this happening I don’t want to waste my money on something unreliable ….

Still waiting for this fix years later: This would be an amazing app if I could sort by iPhone photo albums instead of camera roll. I have literally thousands of photos on my camera roll. How I manage this is I sort them into albums. When I want to upload photos to this app, it would be great if I could sort USING THESE ALBUMS instead of scrolling through THOUSANDS of photos to try to find the ones I want to upload. Seriously so infuriating. Social media apps and other photo editing apps seem to be able to do it. Not sure why Google hasn’t caught up.

I love the features in the app as no one else gives you the control Google photo does as a base app. HOWEVER, the fact that ANY editing I do forces my videos to go slow-mo is too much of a concern not to give it the full five stars. If you can’t DO it without forcing things we don’t want, don’t even make it an option. FRUSTRATED

All of the sudden, these app began demanding access to all photos so it could work. There is no option to limit to specific images it’s either all photos or it won’t work. This is why I left Android, Google is a predatory company.

The newish album search feature when adding photos to an existing album is greatly appreciated. No other photo app for iOS that I’ve used has this feature. Google Photos is my overall favorite photo storage app, not perfect but the best overall. Main reason why I pay for my Google One subscription (extra storage).

It doesn’t allow me to find people that I already saved. So I have to go through all of my photos to look for a person. This is not great for a person that has brain cancer and is frustrated with not remembering things.

This app is Literally one of the worst app ever created. Please don’t waste your time on this app. They will take your money and that’s it. The app forced you into giving it one star before you submitted any review. Worst worst
