I thoroughly enjoy using Aqua maps to navigate around Alaska. It is spot on all the time. Very easy to work with totally love it.

I’ve been playing with this app for a while and it is my favorite. The charts are clear and attractive, and a cool feature is that I can import waypoints with photos via à KNL file. Not many GPS app can do that. Also, as a small boater, currents are very important and it looks like they just added my feature request to be able to see currents at à further out zoom level. Thanks! This really helps with route planning and timing over à larger area. Before I had to zoom in and pan around looking for these things. Now it is clear when you’re looking at the “big picture” which way the water will be flowing. Integration with Garmin and all sorts of other things like AIS make it à compete app. Also, the annual fee is reasonable compared to other apps. Overall I am quite happy!!

Great app but for premium membership fee one would think I would not have to tap in multiple waypoints to get out islands and hazards to get to final destination. Come on, even Navionics provides auto routing. I enter my boat draft, air height and how far I want to be away from shore etc. and Navionics will give me a suggested route as well as provide how much fuel I will burn and time at my selected speed and fuel per mile. You can do better Aqua Map, please….

The chart plotter on my brother’s boat quit and we were able to Aqua Map to find the fishing spot. When you’re 35 miles out it’s nice to have a backup.

Like a cruising guide. Anchor spots and places to go are very nice if you take the time to read comments.

Even with the tutorial, which is not comprehensive, I am unable to figure out how to chart a trip. I reached out to their help desk and waiting for a reply☹️

Other apps are almost worthless compared to Aquamaps.

In the Bahamas, does it better. Nine times out of 10 it says there’s a coral head. It’s right there. Making the tough crossings into Harbor that are a little dicey. I wouldn’t try it without it. Ted on Sundog.
