  • Skill Share, Beginner type Tutorials, Too Pricey

    Skill share is a good place to find beginner type tutorial videos on all types of things from Procreate, Crochet, Knitting, Social Media, Content Creation, Website building and more. It’s pricey. I had it for a year because I forgot to cancel my free trial and since I got stuck with a $129 bank charge (non-refundable), I had no choice. One thing, one several subjects that I looked into, the same tutorials from a year ago, is all they have! No updated or added on material. Plus all these tutorials can be found on YouTube and Pinterest! Don’t wast your money. Remember, if you do the free trial, set a reminder to cancel before you get charged for a full year of nothing!

  • So many classes and all of the time you need!

    I am always up for additional education if I have the time and opportunity. With the convenience of 24/7 access to Skillshare, I can easily get a quick lesson in wherever I am at using the app.

  • Not getting my Refund

    I was give a 1-month free trial. So if you try to cancel you lose your membership. If you don't cancel they automatically charge you, but i can't get a refund on a one-month free trial.. They charge me for the whole year. They do respond to you but it takes so much time. So the only responses I get are days apart and once again they don't respond to my issues. And for all the reviews I read the apple is saying if subscribe through the app we will refund you. What about people who use on web on a computer? Am I not getting a refund? They took my $99, and I am not even going to use the app for a year. I should have never tried Skillshare I am so concerned that won't give me my money back giving me another excuse.

    Skillshare is dishonest and deals dishonestly with its creators. If you value education, mentorship and honesty, please, please go use one of the many other training platforms. Supporting skillshare is supporting a system that uses and hurts educators. This company has horrible communication and policies that serve to disenfranchise the people trying to create things for others. Shame on you skillshare.

    One of my biggest pain points in using the skillshare (regardless of whether you use it on a mobile device or desktop) is the fact that they do not have a “download all” option. Some of the classes I have taken have 30+ resources. I have to download them one at a time. Despite numerous attempts at providing feedback, I get a standard response from customer support “your feedback is under consideration” Their iPad app is full of bugs. No visibility to who you follow. When you watch through browser, forwarding / rewinding video is a pain. When you submit a project and want to crop the thumbnail image, the cropping does not work. Some tutors do not provide resources used in class. Some tutors do not respond to questions. Definitely not worth the price they are charging. Sub-standard product.

    Please, Skillshare make this app functional. I can’t say enough good things about the Skillshare platform but the app is so awful. Constantly crashes, design/functionality is bad and downloads work maybe half of the time… maybe less. If it weren’t for the fact that I download classes to watch while traveling I would never use the app and just use the website.

    Skillshare don’t gat me wrong Skillshare is fun but if you want to take lessons you have to get premium and they won’t even let you take the courses if you don’t have premium

    I’ve been loving SkillShare for years. It’s great to learn so many different things. When I get a creative block, this is my go-to for expanding my skills, or stepping outside of my creative comfort zone. :) I’ve learned things from so many areas…cooking, drawing, business. Good stuff! :D
