TIDAL Music: HiFi Sound

Great Music App. Honestly it’s the best streaming service out there for music-based content. Saying more about it only diminishes the pure beauty ofTidal. Check it out. Note To Tidal Developers: I am sure I am not the only one who has problems with their music stopping unexpectedly- this is my ONLY concern. Thank Y’all!

Kinda weird that it’s rated 12+ and you have to be 13 though

As the title says, I’m about ready to switch back to Spotify after two years of using Tidal. I appreciate the higher streaming quality but what’s the use of paying for that if the app is so buggy that it quits at random a few times a day, says it’s playing one song I’ve selected but plays a totally different audio, using the downloaded music is a joke- it loads about half the time. Isn’t the purpose of downloading music to my phone and using storage… so that I don’t have to use service or Wi-Fi to access that music? I’m over the bugs & my music being inaccessible when I’m paying for the service.

UPDATE: PLEASE… Please give us a way to add multiple songs to multiple playlists! Right now I’m having to add each song individually… I’m exhausted from clicking buttons. I have several playlists and some need of them need the same songs… I just want my library to be what it was… and please, PLEASE format the app to show users what playlists the songs are on! I waist SO MUCH TIME adding songs to playlists that already have the music on it (there’s nothing indicating that), and having to click the skip duplicate track button etc etc… all that could be avoided if I knew which playlists my songs are on! I also wish there was an easy method to undo a track being “added to playlist”. Right now I have to find the playlist, search the song title and delete it manually… It. Makes. No. Sense. And. Takes. SoOoOo. Long. That said, knowing the artists, albums, singles, etc and all their work is in chronological order makes everything so easy. The app’s algorithm is HELLA great! ✨💕 if only I could find a way to easily add music to my playlists (and remove it)… I’d be happy. -END UPDATE- As a former Musi user (RIP), I can’t imagine anyone functioning properly without their music. Seven years of music, 30,000 songs, and countless playlists to suite the perfect moment in time… I’ll never recover what I’ve lost. Thankfully music is an emotion and emotions are tied to memories. Tidal has lessened the blow (a bit), and I can’t explain how happy it makes me to have my soul back intact. My COVETED wish is this: sometimes I’ll add song to multiple playlists, and having a quicker, easier method than adding one song to each playlist at a time would save a significant amount of time, not only that but having a check or something to let me know where the songs been assessed (so I can avoid adding the same song to the same playlist) would be incredibly HELPFUL. I switched to Tidal for sound quality and a wider song selection. It’s been refreshing. The only thing I do not like is the amount of storage “documents” take up. It’s hard to remove once downloaded. I’ve changed settings and it still takes up a lot of space.

The search in Tidal does not always gets the results. You should allow partial searches, misspelled searches, etc. put some AI in this search. Make it the most powerful on the market

No Multi-device support: I can’t start a track on my phone and jump over to my desktop and pick up where I left off on my phone. On Spotify this is seamless. On Tidal, it’s completely Dumb, Devices have no idea what you are playing. Also, if you close out the app on a device and the music is still playing, when you open Tidal back up, even though it is playing - there is literally no indication on your device what song is playing. This happens daily, you have to scroll through the playlist and guess what is playing and when you hit play it starts the song over. If I start playing something on my laptop and jump in the car, why can’t I pick up the session? My other big gripe is when I use a smart device like Alexa Echo Dot to play something - there is no history of the songs in Tidal. If want to know what’s playing on a Smart Device, on Spotify I can jump in the app and like whatever is playing, but the Tidal app is completely Dumb to whatever is playing, no History, no nothing. Now here’s what I like, I’ve only been using Tidal for about 4 months now previously, I was a 10 year Premium Spotify subscriber I was drawn in by the “Hi-Fi” Audio quality, and the price point was the same as Spotify. It’s legit, no seriously - I used Boris Blank’s Resonance album as my benchmark, and had my wife listen with me. She is not an audio person at all. First we played Vertigo Heroes on Spotify, then I maxed out the stream on Tidal. She’s was absolutely floored, the music is more nuanced, it has a fuller Dimensional sound, the highs the lows, the lows really thump on Tidal. So, yeah a no brainer if you love listening to music. Another aspect I love about Tidal is the Daily Discovery. On Spotify it’s a Weekly playlist that is hit or miss. Some weeks you get 9 or 10 great songs and tons of new artist Discovery, but most weeks, the discovery selelctions are terrible. When the Spotify Algorithm is on, it’s ON! But when it’s off, sometimes it takes weeks to get it back to normal. On Tidal, they have a Daily Discovery playlist of about 10 new songs each day. At the end of the week I’ve probably saved about 90% of the tracks to my favorites. Unfortunately, that’s about it.

Recently started using Tidal. The music quality and interface are great however, I pay 13.99 a month for this service and get an ad for Waze every time I use it while driving. It appears as a banner in the phone app and can only be dismissed by touching a button in the ad itself (as opposed to swiping). Searching online I see this has been reported by other users for the last four years. It shouldn’t be a surprise but the reviews from tech and music sites don’t mention this. I have canceled my subscription.
