If you have a Mac don't bother. This Is a confusing waste of time and yes a $1.99.
  • Literally does not decompress a 7zip file

This says it is for 7zip. I have a file that needs to be decompressed with that. Downloaded this with the understanding that I would be able to decompress it. On the “support” site, it basically tells you that you can “preview” compressed files. Apple, this is a scam. Had to change my settings because this developer did not meet the standards to install this on my mac. Gosh, I hope it’s not malware! Apple, I need a refund.
  • Yeah It Costs $2

There is no other uncompress utility that I know of for the Mac that lets one browse an archive (zip, rar, etc) before extraction. I find this feature immensely useful. Windows and linux have free (as in beer) utilities that will do so but not the Mac AFAIK. After buying a Mac (read: expensive hardware), that supposedly can do it all and the user barely needs to think about it, what’s another $2. Maybe we aren’t meant to work with zip or rar files. Welcome to the world of Jobs/Cook. Get over the $2. Don’t mean to start a war. Just my view. If you don’t need to browse an archive, just extract it, use Keka.
  • App doesn’t do anything useful

You have to pay 1.99 to get it to do anything useful! The builtin Archive Utility app extracts for free, which would I pay from another app? Plus it advertises for another useless “disk cleaning” application.
  • Not functional… $1.99 for a “free” app that uses “free” 7zip code?

Not functional… $1.99 for a “free” app that uses “free” 7zip code? Does not expand, does not compress… Just shows the files (if you can make it). Requests an in-app purchase of $1.99 to unlock “expand feature”. But, a compression app has NO OTHER FEATURES.
  • Be aware - InApp purchase to extract files ...

Despite the fact the App is advertised for free, in order to extract anything from an archive, you need to purchase the app for $1.99.
