From humanity’s creation, we have looked at the world around us and at ourselves and wondered. Thanks to the work of medieval innovators like Rodger Bacon and Albert the Great, humanities collective wisdom reached a new height in the Renaissance when minds like Davinci and Brunelleschi. Building off the shoulders of the giants before them, men like Copernicus, Newton, Pascal, Pasteur, Faraday and Tesla helped to advance things further and allow us to live in a world that was once science fiction. Now due to the internet, wisdom is no longer confined to heavily fortified cities a continent away. Anyone anywhere can stand on the shoulders of the giants before us, and join this ancient quest to understand ourselves, and this incredible world we are in. The internet is a great tool, but it is cluttered, filled with misinformation, and distraction. Instead of teaching people about themselves and the world, the internet at times can leave people in a comfortable loop where they bounce from distraction to distraction and never reach the fullness of their potential. Essentially, trapping them into a fake second life as a consumer, instead of forming the microcosm within to change the cosmos around them. Ark seeks to condense all the world’s wisdom into one ordered store house where future generations can rest in the fruits of previous generations and continue the great debates of old and to innovate new paths forward for humanity. Despite acting as a light to dissipate doomscrolling, Ark users can create posts and videos, taking these means which stick in our memories, and use them to form the mind with the wisdom of the past instead of dulling it with meaningless content. Ark is a community of passionate individuals who want to connect with other people like them across the world. In the past, passionate scholars were isolated in different nations and could never collaborate. Now, budding inventors around the world can make deep friendships which advance humanities potential. New ideas can be incubated, and old ideas can be critiqued, all by passionate educated individuals working under a shared mission. The creation of new ideas often translates to the creation of new inventions and products to share. To support this, Ark contains a marketplace for makers to sell what they’ve designed, and to inspire others.
