I downloaded this app to check out the differences between what I always use, which is WeatherBug and this app. Well I have to say that this became a terrible experience when during set up I was prompted immediately for a one week trial with the option of a subscription. Plan 3.99 a month or $40 a year. Thinking I had a week to see if it was preferable to weather bug. I clicked on 40 a year. The app immediately charged my account the $40 no one week no options. Nothing I was charged immediately so unless you plan to download an inoperable app unless you buy something, don’t even try this. I canceled the subscription and I will make sure my bank does not pay this.

Got the app during a bad weather evening. Found that town names other than my location were not included which made it hard to judge storm locations. No highways on the map either. Menu to choose map functions popped up on the upper left side and quickly disappeared before a selection could be made. Did not have the usefulness of free apps I have used in the past. Cannot use in landscape orientation. Some selection icons on the right side were superimposed over others making nearly impossible to select the bottom icons.

I got this app in a moment of panic when a family member texted me to say that a tornado had touched down a few towns over and was headed in my direction. I paid $40 for the year-long subscription thinking this was actually an app from NOAA. I was expecting timely updates so I could stay safe, but as the tornado moved closer toward my location, this app only said that it was raining and there was “low risk” in my town. It said nothing about a tornado watch, nor a tornado warning when the funnel cloud was spotted. If it hadn’t been for the tornado sirens in my town, I would’ve been totally unprepared and vulnerable when the tornado did come through. I checked the app again from the safety of my storm cellar to see that it still said the weather was simply raining. This app is a scam with potentially life-threatening consequences if it’s your only way of paying attention to local weather patterns. You’re better off buying an actual NOAA weather radio than this fraudulent app.

Downloaded twice to try it again but nope. It won’t do anything, not even give the temperature, until you pay $39.99! It’s not a free trial if you charge $40 up front!

Tried to set up monthly subscription, payment taken but app would not start. Tried to get refund but refund denied. Had to go through credit card company to get payment back

I don’t usually trust promoted weather apps , I thought it’ll be another copy and paste code money grab scheme but turns out it’s a legit accurate forecast. Thanks
  • Just goes to a payment screen after install

I feel I’ve been bait & switched. This app doesn’t work unless you pay, period. Why the ‘free’ download if the user is greeted with a pay wall?

Imagine charging a user weekly for an app that was most likely funded by U.S. taxes. Just Crazy
  • If I wanted to pay for weather info I’d buy my own weather equipment.

The absolutely useless 2 option charge just for information I could get easier just by looking out my window honestly the weather channel is better and that’s saying something.
