Great Game - Learn How To Play!

This is one of those games that you need to properly learn how to play before you write a review. Cards are where the power really lies to get higher grades, and every step up you make helps you progress forward with your uma. If you don’t understand or are struggling, read some guides, watch videos, try to learn rather than rating the game poorly before you’ve really even started! I’ve been playing since D1 on the Japanese release and this game is absolutely wonderful. Amazing job exporting it to Global!
Was worth the wait

Definitely the most unique gacha game I’ve ever played!

Art: 10/10 - the 3d models are done very well; fluid but still anime-like, and there’s even details like wet cloth when it rains. Very good
Voice Acting: 7/10 - it’s all done well, but only stories and lobby interactions are fully voiced; career mode is partially voiced. I understand why, but it still feels like a little bit of a letdown
Gameplay: 7/10 - actually more interesting than I expected, and strategy is actually really deep
Music: 8/10 - everything is quite good but it doesn’t have legendary songs like Idolm@ster or Love Live, or legendary soundtrack like Hiroyuki Sawano
Characters: 9/10 - I think Tokai Teio is one of the best anime characters of all time and Gold Ship is a hilarious memester. Solid in this department.

I really enjoyed my first full career; watching the races and listening to the commentators actually made the emotional stakes pretty high, in a way I was not expecting from a gacha game.
The problem with this game is the investment and grind. Even after only a couple of days it already takes SO MUCH WORK. That original career? 3 hours long (I was savoring it, ok?) Most of your grinding runs are going to be like 30-40 mins, and you have to do SO many of them in order to complete the events. You lose the ability to enjoy the emotional stakes and the stories and it’s just WORK.
At least, I did.
Tl;dr:
To put it simply: this has all the elements for a great casual or story game, but it is simply way too grindy.
Also, really don’t know why it’s 17+. The fanservice is really mild. On a similar level as Bang Dream probably.
It’s time

Been a fan of this series since I first heard about it in 2020. Glad to see we’re finally at the global release!
Stick to the anime

This game has been nothing but hard for me. It’s made me more mad than actually enjoying it. I can’t fully understand it and to be honest it’s taking too much of my time to really appreciate it. Save the time and just stick with the anime and save a few hairs on your head.
So

I think it should have more language support in the future, not just English.

This game is super unique and if you like roguelike sort of gameplay and strategy/management type of games this is very good. It's one of those easy to play tough to master games where midmaxxing your planning to get the perfect stats is a big draw. theres a lot of story cutscenes so if you like visual novels as well then its a perfect combo. If you've never tried either types of games then this is free and you can try it out for a little to see if you like it. It's a good addition to the appstore!
Uma musume pretty derby
