Amazon has applied the Amazon model to kids and made it impossible to block kids content. Good luck navigating parental controls to block apps. Get a clue Amazon. Save your children’s brain and say no to Amazon.

This app makes so many things difficult in setting up a usable kids account. Excessive glitches and nothing but walks to find fixes. Whatever you read in forums rarely helps. We don’t even use the tablet much, I spend more time attempting to fix it than anything else and give up more than I fixing.
  • Multiple kid problems

I have multiple kids and I wish I could turn them all off with one push. I also wish that I could just put one profile on each tablet. That or they had to put in a code to switch profiles. When they use up their allotted time they switch to someone else’s. Oh And I wish downloaded movies could be accessed on the kids profiles. To let them watch a movie they have full access to the parent profile.

    So good
  • Poor design

Can’t find anywhere to approve my kid’s app requests. Sometimes when using the schedule functionality, my kid gets locked out of their tablet even though they haven’t used all the time. Just seems buggy and not user friendly to me. Makes me nervous that a guy who started a company that can’t build apps, thinks he can start a company that builds rocket ships.
  • To much non educational content

I wish the parents had more control of what their kids are able to download or watch. There’s to much content that’s non educational that’s in educational settings.

Amazon kids isn’t great for managing content. It’s overly broad and I can’t just add the apps I want
  • Complicated

How the heck do I find the parent dashboard. Then change the modify web browser. You don’t explain how to change or do anything that prohibits kids from just playing regular games like abc mouse. So stupid and hard on a parent who has a million better things to do than figure out how to get there kids tablet to let them play simple abc mouse.
  • Not intuitive. Frustrating

You can ask Alexa to play something specific, like a free audible book or podcast and it just chooses something random to play for you. I wish my son could say "tell me a story about an octopus!" And it would give suggestions based on that. The content and commands are difficult to navigate
