I downloaded Joist again and I must say I didn’t have to pay for the services that they provide. It’s next to the Best. I’m telling you and worth every penny that they’re asking. Very easy to navigate and if you want to offer your customers a new way of taking the job and selling the job, they offer a finance plan with it. I just can’t wait until they have a merchant account instead of PayPal.

Works as expected when it works but is so inconvenient when it doesn’t and customer support will offer you nothing useful, only an apology that they set you back and you’re invoicing of clients will be delayed and you’ll be unable to pay your help or yourself for another week. Definitely not ideal for contractors when payment time is paramount to your help. Feels like I’m talking to AI when communicating with support.
I’m not looking for yet another apology. As a contractor, I need an invoicing app to work when I need it to but if it’s not reliable when it needs to be then what’s the point of paying for it?
Support is unhelpful and loaded with apology after apology but have nothing to offer to compensate for delays. You’d think they would wish to retain a longtime user and monthly JoistPro member. Not the case.
I would suggest either utilizing a better invoicing app or have a reliable backup to use in a pinch because these guys only want your money and won’t offer you any solutions, only pre-programmed responses and zero accountability.

The app is glitchy. I upgraded to the joist basics that gives you 5 free estimates per month. It’s a new month and it hasn’t even started over. It’s showing I have 0. And if I try to upgrade to the joist pro it’s not even crediting me for the other plan that I paid 80 dollars for, for the year. When it worked it was great. But this is ridiculous and the customer service is trash.

I have used joist for 8-10 years. When they switched to a subscription based platform. It has been nothing but problems. You call tech support and they know nothing and cannot help resolve and issues with logging in or data recovery. Highly disappointed and I spent three months in subscription fees while trying to navigate through tech support with no avail.

Figured I would give it a try. Seemed to work ok at first glance. Was gunna upgrade but the purchase portion of the app doesn’t work unless you pay for a year. Tried using customer support but they were worthless. Log in a good while later and customer support just decided to charge me without asking and then attempted to blame it on Apple somehow? Even thought it’s charged from there app. Tried to delete my data but you can’t… so there is that.

Love it! Makes everything easier can even put pics on the invoice of before and after or anything you want material. Or something they need to see to be fixed i love the app you can update the invoice anytime. The best thing i could have done.
Don’t minimize the app or it will delete all your work and you have to start over. So.
