  • Favorite app to get things done

I used to use Things 3 but re-discovered Todoist after its redesign, and now I use it to manage all of my general to-dos and work projects. Thanks for the great app! Suggestion — It would be great if the dark mode in the app and on widgets would just be a dark version of whatever the light color select it is. Like if I have selected blueberry, then in dark mode instead of seeing red accents, I get blueberry-ish accents. I hate the red accents.
  • Syncing problem

I have been using this app for years as a paying pro member and have noticed more and more bugs recently. I don’t know if all their new features are muddying up the beautifully simple to-do functionality. But I am at a breaking point now as I haven’t been able to sync for a week and I can’t get any sort of response from the company. Actively looking for an alternative
  • It finally clicked

I’ve worked with this all on and off for years. I’ve always loved it, on a surface level. The functions and user experience are great. Also the interface and design just always stood out to me. Love the integrations with other productivity apps like Toggl. But it wasn’t until I clearly defined boundaries around my work/life balance, and was officially diagnosed with ADHD that it truly clicked how useful this app truly is when using it correctly. I’ve finally started using it effectively and efficiently enough for it to not just be a way to work harder, but rather a way to work smarter and give yourself grace when you need a break or can’t take something on in the moment. It’s facilitated my neurodivergence to be a hack rather than an attack on my ability to accomplish the things I want by battling against the crippling procrastination that can be a chronic symptom for someone with ADHD. I truly appreciate it and hope others find this or any apps to help make their life not only easier but healthier mentally and emotionally.
  • Where did “Show Completed Tasks” go?

Used to be when I was in a task list, I could tap the kabob menu and select “Show Completed Tasks”. This was really helpful if I fat-fingered a task trying to complete it and I accidentally completed the wrong one. At some point, the “Show Completed Tasks” option disappeared. Did some UI “expert” decide it was unnecessary? It is really annoying that it is gone. I think maybe it moved somewhere else, but I can never find it, so you failed.

I’ve tried hundreds of to do lists and this is the only one that has ever worked for me. If you’re considering whether or not to get it, get it.

No exaggeration; this app has improved my life exponentially. I’m a working mother of three. This app helps me feel on top of it all. I add tasks for housework daily, rotating types of tasks on certain days. I add all of the kids’ activities and needs. I assign a Label (each family member has a specific emoji, even the dog). Real grateful for the app creators for making it so intuitive and solid. I especially love the recurring task functionality to add recurring tasks, annual notes for birthdays/etc. I even have “projects” where I keep running lists of Christmas gift ideas, grocery lists, meals we have on deck, etc. I can’t imagine going back to any other type of list/planner.
  • Scam nobody to talk to to cancel

I tried to cancel my subscription. There is no way to get in touch with anybody on the website. There’s no email address and when I contacted my bank I got an 800 number and when I call the 800 number they tried to sell me something else and when I refuse to buy anything else, they hung up on me. Good luck to anyone who tries to cancel their subscription.
