This app is ok. Especially if you have no service. It lacks CarPlay. That kills a higher rating.
  • Maps are not up to date.

Despite having been recently updated as of 2/22/24 the maps are horribly outdated. If you don’t have some kind of idea of the area you’re driving in this app will get you i to serious trouble with a big truck. About a decade ago when I first downloaded this app it was fine, not perfect but fine. Nowadays it is not much better than using Google Maps and sometimes its worse. Traffic and road closures/openings are frequently wrong. Do not waste your time with this app.
  • I use this every day as a semi driver

It used to be pretty bad but I think it’s better now. Rarely have any issues with is but occasionally cross reference Google. Just use some common sense
  • Stop trying to over charge me

I have a year subscription but the app keeps trying to make me pay again and not let me use the app that I already paid for and there is nobody to call about this issue. When you call it gives you the run around. Give me what I paid for !

I purchased after trial and am getting an error that something is wrong in pilot store. However it to my money. Definitely need to figure out what’s going on. Not a good look out here on the road.

I’ve used this app for more than five years. I loved that the maps are resident on the phone because I regularly traveled where there’s no cell. I put up with an occasional goofy routing through a narrow residential street when an arterial was nearby. I loved that the map doesn’t try to be helpful by zooming around at every freeway intersection. But starting three years ago my subscription cancelled itself before it really expired. Tech support blamed Apple. An hour with an Apple guru couldn’t find an issue. I finally deleted the app and bought a new subscription using a new email and Apple ID. Next year same problem (just road out a few weeks with no maps). And next year. This year it won’t load anything but a map (no active traffic that’s paid for, no access to my address book, no search). Just a basic paper map (starting mid January) for a subscription that doesn’t end until March 1, leaving me without maps in a part of the USA with no cell (so Apple and Google maps won’t work). I’m done.

The recent update feels like a software downgrade. Lots of broken stuff and tons of bugs with no new features.

After the update audio is fixed BUT more stuff is broken now omg $9.99 a month for bugs give me a break fix it already! CON audio is complete garbage when listening to music or audiobooks alongside copilot. The audio works great till you get your first voice guidance it than lowers the audio of the music and talks over it but after that the music volume constantly fades up and down nonstop till you close the copilot app and reopen it and than it happens all over again at the next route guidance prompt. Let me tell you that is a freaking no go for me. PRO’s easy routing for oversized permits GARMIN and RAND MCNALLY should take notes because this is the way it should be done! Accurate turn information given in advance. It will find the most obscure truck route through a city that you would of blown right by. If your not permitted you can turn on active traffic and miss the backups most of the time! If you can’t navigate with this app your probably just out of your depth and don’t need so much responsibility.
  • Navigation better, startup slow

The routing is getting better. There is a problem with starting the app. I’ll hop in the car, open the app, and wait….. for the app to open. It can take up to a minute. This is with a good internet connection(which it doesn’t need anyway just to route). Then I have trouble with the traffic feature. Despite having a subscription, the traffic doesn’t load. Web pages open so I have a good connection. More wasted time trying to get the traffic to show up in routing.
