I’ve been playing this game on and off since I was in middle school! A couple years ago I decided I was going to 100% the dragons and I’m more than halfway there. This game is so fun and nostalgic. Backflip studios, don’t ever get rid of the music!! The graphics, music, aesthetic, everything is amazing. It’s a fun, interactive game and I’d definitely recommend!

I’ve been playing this game for 6 years and it has never gotten old. Very entertaining for a long while. It is PTW, but there really is no ‘winning’ so it’s just fun all around. 🥹👌

i started playing this game around the time it first came out and i was about 8-9 yrs old at the time. and up till i was about 13 yrs old i stopped playing because a glitched happened and it deleted my entire world and i was so upset because of all the progress that i had made. fast forward to 2021, i downloaded the game and started all over again and here i am in 2025 as a 22 yr old still playing this game. i love this game and it gives me so much nostalgia to when i first started playing this game. please dont ever discontinue this game. i look forward to waiting till my breedings are finished and incubated and i get so excited to see what new dragon i get. and i love trying to collect all the pieces to summon the legendary dragons. and i love all the seasonal events, the colosseum and the racing. it’s so much fun. there’s always similar games, like other dragon games or other human like games where you start a village and a farm but nothing will ever come close to dragonvale. i just love this game so much!

I’ve played the game consistently since launch but never wrote a review because I could never get my thoughts into words adequate enough to describe what this game means to me. For one thing, it’s an art piece. A living, breathing, work of art that rivals anything from any era to be found in a museum. And that living aspect is such an integral part of the equation. Most art, no matter how great, stays the same once it’s done. It can be interpreted in an infinite number of ways, but the piece itself remains stagnant. DragonVale is alive, ever changing yet ever beautiful. In a way, it’s grown up alongside me. It was there at every point of my life since the game launched. With how tumultuous and rough life can be, mine being no exception to uncertainty, having something this beautiful and comforting change along with me was something nothing else could match. I just finished re-reading the DragonVale artbook. The passion and detail contained within was everything I always felt through the game itself. To see the words of a team as inspired as I always imagined was just as breathtaking as the art it accompanied. And after how many years now? 12? 13? I’m finally just sitting down to say what I wish I’d said all those years ago. Thank you. I don’t know how many, if any, of the old Backflip crew members are still around, but I want to thank you for bringing the joy of the vale into my life. And to all of you at Deca, I must say you’ve done a mighty fine job not only picking up the torch, but keeping its flame vibrant and bright! I don’t know what the future holds, I don’t know if one day the vale will be forced to join the countless worlds thrown by society into my pale memories, but while it’s here, while I’m here, I’ll continue to bask in the wonder of this world you all have made. And who knows, maybe one day I’ll make a world of my own.

Love this game! I’ve played since the beginning, one island and few dragons. Heads up to the advertisers: by making me tap 3 to 4 times you just annoy me such that I will not support whatever you are marketing. You want to assure that I see your ad? You just assure that you are annoying me.

Love the game, I’ve been playing maybe 2-3 months by now and I’m level 24. I wish the summoning circle would work or that you would at least address when it will. Additionally the time seems to be completely stuck on night no matter what time I pick up my phone to play. It can be 2pm or 2am and the breeding cave will always claim it is night. It seems the only solution is to save up years worth of gems or purchase enough to get the clock. This does not seem fair.
  • Development is more for new users

I've been playing this game a long time. I'm at the highest level. It's been there for months.. I don't play as much anymore because I feel like the focus is on new users and not the users that have been playing for a long time. The amount of time that is given to developing new features instead of increasing the level of the game has made me not play as much anymore. The level might increase once a year maybe. It has been my complaint for many years, that and my connection with game center. I have not unlocked any of the badges according to game Center, but I am on the highest level with 400 , I have not unlocked one game center achievement😂🤣

I’ve been playing this game off and on since I was about 7 years old. Of course when I was that young I didn’t fully understand how to play but when I’d get cool dragons it would be amazing and I would be so happy to keep finding new ones. I like how now, gems are still important but a little easier to get instead of spending the money when I was younger. All and all I love this game and hope more people find out about it and grow it to become more than it already is. Thank you developers
