…but not quite there. Currently looking for a replacement podcast player and this almost has everything I need. Does this player really not have the option to create playlists? This would be the deal breaker for me. Once my 1 month sub is over, I’m going to have to move on and keep looking.
  • constant skipping on longer podcasts

this is my favorite podcast app but skips are almost guaranteed on every episode of a longer podcast and it’s -maddening-. Please fix it! not an issue with Spotify or apple or any other player and a key part of playback.
  • I can no longer recommend this app

I used to be impressed with the usability, interface, and feature set of this app. Now, it can’t stay synced between my Apple Watch and iPhone. Further, my watch doesn’t download my up next list, only to my iPhone. I have to manually move new episodes to up next and tap download on my watch. More on that later… My watch and phone are connected via BT. They are both connected to the same wi-fi network, and they both get placed on a charger every night. When I’m out exercising without my phone, I play through my watch. It’s annoying because I frequently find that the podcast just stops playing. As if I pressed pause. And a lot of the time, when I look to my watch, the app has closed (it’s still on in the background because I can app switch back to it). But I have to re-open it and press play again. Downloading episodes takes too long. I can wait for literally ten minutes and an episode won’t even move on the download progress indicator. And if I put my hand down and go back and check if it’s done, say, 30 mins later, the download has stopped, as if it never started. Other podcast apps have updated to include the features that I like and want that brought me to Pocket Casts, so I’m not renewing my subscription to this once-great app.
  • Works everywhere

As someone who has moved back and forth between walled gardens, and different audio services Pocket casts has been a favorite neutral ground app that works well between the green and blue bubble worlds.

This is a pretty good podcast app. The only things that are annoying about it is that it keeps logging me out recently and also it’s not very easy to not make it autoplay each episode after on completes. I got my forth or so accidental logout today so I may look into Apple Podcasts but I’d rather stay with this one if they can fix it
  • App breaking down

I’ve used this app for several years and it has always been completely worth the subscription fee, but the past few months have really removed the value. First, the watch app becoming completely unstable, constantly crashing and not able to download new episodes. Now the phone app for the past week is removing Up Next and closing episodes while I am listening to them. If the quality issues are not addressed quickly, I will be looking for a new podcast app.
  • Widget You Do That?

Every other update seems to destroy the widgets. Now they’re all blank?!
  • Good app with major drawback

Please just fix the constant skipping ahead and backwards for longer podcasts. Super aggravating
  • Automatically signed out every few days

The app will randomly log me out every few days. I’ve never had another app do something like this. I have to sign back in and wait for it to reload all of my podcasts. Still experiencing issues with the app skipping podcast in my queue. Received a response from the developers telling me to email them so they can try to fix the issues. I emailed them and they said I need to be a paid member to email them. This app is a joke. I want Google podcasts to come back. I’m going to search for a new app.
