Why display a screenshot of a video and when that screenshot is clicked ad after ad is played but never the video pictured???

When you receive a notice from the app regarding one story, you click it and it either takes you to an ad or an entirely different news item. Over it.

Lately we’ve been seeing within most stories, “Content failed to load”. Why is this happening and what is being done to correct the problem? It makes it seem like we’re not getting everything about the issue.

Getting zero notifications.

App does not have user settings to control auto-playing video clips. I prefer to read my news while listening to music. This app overrides device settings disabling auto-play cutting off whatever you may be listening to.

Whom ever is in charge of proof reading the content shared on the ABC7 News app needs to take a refresher course. Unbelievable how many errors are in your daily content. Be better!

I run into this problem a lot with this app, where I either click on a notification (car chases most often) or just live news in the app and I get an endless circle of death and it never loads. I close and reopen and it’s the same. Right now I’ve been trying for an hour because there is a car chases standoff, but live news won’t open.

I use to the use this app back in the day, perfectly fine, except for when you accidentally touched an ad. Now it’s nothing but ad after ad. Oh here’s another ad. Oh here’s our personal ad.“Do you like our app?” No. Do not download this. It is pointless and worthless.

It seems that I can’t control the notifications that I get like I used to. I don’t really care about getting notifications about silly TV news shows. I just want breaking news. “Interests” aren’t the same thing as I don’t have any of them enabled.
