For weeks, I’ve been trying to purchase. And the system locks up when I try to do so, after I click on the rate, and it says contacting the store.

I never liked it as a code editor but for working with extremely large text based files nothing was better. Now that I’m back on Mac I see that my old purchase will not restore and this has been placed on a subscription model. I am not paying a subscription fee to use a friggin’ text editor.

I love the app except Im a student and can barely afford to eat let alone buy software. It really hinders students that are trying to develop the next best idea or just learning to develop, when all the tools that a highly paid developer uses are too expensive to even learn. Most students have a negative bal in their bank and are eating worse than prisoners. If you want new devs to support your app you should have a way for them to use is. Longer than 30 days. Also if you have a negative account balance you can t even get the 30 day trials it’s absurd.

Do not get me wrong, this is a sweet editor. It is quite seriously the best editor I've ever used. The reason I do not give this app five stars is because of the not-great subscription method. It would have been nice if there were several subscription options (like Basic, Plus, and Pro, or even a one-time purchase option). Instead, there's only monthly and yearly subscription methods. There are several features that I would like to have inside of the subscription, but I'd be paying for several other features that I would never use! The subscription method is a bummer to me. Now, besides that, the editor itself is beyond awesome! I love how it colors text to show commands, general texts, etc. I love the UI, it makes editing way faster, especially when it highlights the line I'm working on. I like how it can tap into ChatGPT (though I personally do not use AI when writing scripts), I'm sure this is great for some people. Overall, great program! In conclusion, I am very happy with this editor, and I would recomend it to others.

This is ridiculous. It's a great editor, but paying a subscription for it is just asking too much. I'm tired of subscriptions for everything. If a product update is worth it, it should stand on its own merit. We will pay for upgrades but not for forced subscriptions... Deleting this thing from my systems now. And yes, I did buy it a while back and when I opened it up it had a subscription requirement...

This is the best simple text/code editor with great features like multifile search and compare.

1. When I just edit theme color, it creates a copy, which I can't delete it or rename.. Next, Dark theme is just really bad.. I just want a Xcode 15 like theme for Light/Dark appearance! 2. Veiw-> Text Display -> Hide Page Guied will not be saved after app close!
