    If you’re gonna call the app text free then want money just to get a activation code you should put that in the description cause ur app along with the rest of them have all fallen off with the ads and money grabbing straight trash

    1. Too many glitches. 2. Slows down a lot. 3. Too many annoying ads. 4. The numbers will keep changing! If you are looking for a VoIP app to use as a second phone, this app is not for you; TEXTNOW is a better choice!

    Call quality is horrible and it disables my account every time I send a link to someone. It prevents me from receiving any messages when the app gets disabled

    No issues until recently after ~1 year then all of a sudden I couldn’t send or receive messages. Emailed support on Sunday and received an email back with a ticket number and this message: “One of our Support Advocates will review and respond shortly.”. After 24hrs (which is not the definition of “shortly”) I replied to the ticket asking for status. 12 hrs later I am still waiting. If I had to depend on this phone number, I would be out of luck.

    The only two earthly reasons one might have to use this app or as follows: You are engaged in something you’d like a burner phone number for Or Your phone is off and you need an alternative I can speak for the latter case cause that is my situation. TextFree is a useless piece of software. It drops calls consistently, at times people cannot hear you on the other end, EVERY TIME you send a message and go back to your messages list it gives you an ad, and they make you PAY to receive redeem codes, even for organizations like the IRS or Google. At times multimedia messages will not send at all, or will be sent is such poor quality it’s impossible to tell what they are, and voice messages to others sometimes don’t send properly, or the recording is off by several seconds so you have to send a text message to explain what you’re saying. It is only desperation that keeps this app polluting my phone. The one star is only because I cannot rate it 0.

    periodically the pinger TextFree app wants you to login and out they don’t tell you anything about it. They just stopped working if you log out I’ll give you a hard time about logging back in and if you contact customer service there’s no phone number to talk with only email and they make you wait and wait and wait. Don’t trust him for anything mission critical you’ll be sorry

    I’m so disappointed I’ve been using this app for a couple months now and everything has been great up until 2 days ago where I no longer could call or text let alone receive them! This was the number I used to handle a lot of business when I didn’t want to use my real number I’ve tried restarting my phone, checking to see if the app needed a update and tried again to see if it’s working I’m so disappointed
