  • Great App for Accountability

    By LizaBC
This app has been great for holding me accountable and for a realization of what I’m putting into my body.
  • Super Slow, No notifications and calorie count is inaccurate

I stick around for the community of supportive friends who cheer me on. But logging on here is a pain. I use MyPlate instead.
  • I like the App

    By MissSweetTamTam
I'm glad there is another option to add the things I eat, see how many calories are left, and to be able to scan foods. I wish there was a place on here to keep pictures of the meals that I ate. I feel lucky to have found Myfitnesspal so thank you!
  • Very good

    By SamJeff21
This app is very effective, but it can be buggy and annoying to use at times. Also, Premium really makes the app worth a download but you can survive without buying a membership.
  • Lost 50 pounds

    By threex108ms
Keeping track of what I eat, and counting calories has made all the difference in losing 50 pounds. The food database is huge, and the barcode scanning feature is very helpful. The macros help give you an idea of if you’re actually eating healthy, or just less. There should be a lot more exercises as options; they don’t even have treadmill incline options. Even paying the $50 a year, there are too many little pop-up ads and under armor ads, and it takes more taps than I’d like just to get into the program and enter my foods. The program crashes my iPhone every other day or so, as well. Other than that, measuring my foods, and writing everything down every day has been key to me losing so much weight, and this app is the best I’ve found so far. I love the weight graph showing it going down and down, and it’s motivating to help me keep the weight off as well.
  • Weight loss

By Poor as Rich is taken. LOL
Using this program keeps me on track to lose the pounds and reminds me I’m slipping when I ease off my eating habits as the pounds creep up. Every time I’m serious with this program and walking for exercise the pounds drop. I’m over 50 lbs lighter and much healthier as my BP is in the normal to elevated and without the two drugs I was on for the past six plus years, finally. It is a fantastic aid!
  • Could be more user friendly

There are supposed to be over 40,000 recipes in MyFitnessApp; I seem to have found the ones the App doesn’t recognize. My husband orders Blue Apron meals (3) during the week, and I have spent far too much time trying to enter those meals, calories of same, etc.; it’s supposed to be easy to use. The coolest feature is using the bar code reader—I just point, the app clicks and the bars or shakes are added. Very cool! It IS easier than handwriting out what I eat and/or drink; the drawback seems to be when traveling (which I did last week). It would not recognize a restaurant (a Braum’s, for crying out loud), so, I ended up not entering anything (even after several attempts). So, I’ve caught up as far back as I can remember.
  • Decent App-Hard to Edit Brands

    By Gmus1
I like this app as a calorie and nutrient tracker. One thing that would be very helpful would be to be able to edit foods you eat at restaurants. Went to a couple of places and found their items in the app, but because I take off all the bread and dressings from salads and meals it is not an accurate reflection of what I actually am eating unless I build it from scratch. It would be nice if the branded foods had an option to add or remove ingredients if I’ve had to request it be prepared differently for my needs.
