This app is a complete joke. It barely functions, and when it breaks (which it will), Google offers zero support. I lost access to the number my clients use for my business, and Google’s response? “We don’t support this issue.” No way to recover it, no accountability, just endless dead links and forum posts. They do not support small businesses—if anything, they sabotage them. And don’t be fooled by the positive reviews—they reek of being paid-for or incentivized. There’s no way real users would praise a product this broken with a straight face. Google should be ashamed of how little they value the people relying on them. If your business matters to you, stay far away.

since the update with calls being shown in the app (screenshot 2 of this page) + the lock screen it will force disconnect the call, kindly revert the app to the old ui so this doesn’t happen

Always get an error that it doesn’t work in my country. I’m an American living in Prague. Mental. Can’t believe I’m going to write a letter to Microsoft begging to bring back Skype.

This has to be the worst messaging app in existence. Google developers should be ashamed of themselves for putting this out. It is buggy to the point of being useless. Constantly freezing, sometimes archiving messages helps, other times it doesn’t, sometimes deleting and reinstalling helps, other times it doesn’t. Ditching Google and their nonsense and going back to apple and other third party browsers and email.

Reliable communication, easy to use, a great back up for my main line.

Google voice just logged me out saying I can’t login with my account for no reason just so stupid for the new misbehaviour they’re doing now

Receiving calls on my Google Voice number 4-5 times a day soliciting me for their service. No person available for customer service. Shame on you, Google. Shame on you.
