iOS 18 has been released for almost a year, and this Apple-made app still does not support dark icon.

Apple dropped support for this app with newer macOS systems. Absolutely does not work with sequoia.

they should really update this with the new UI, this app does everything I need with how my media library’s set up. Glad it’s still around

Like the title says I used to love this app and it does still work with Music on newer builds but it no longer works on Apple TV on the MacBooks and hasn’t for quite some time. I have also yet to find an alternative.

Wonderful app, but using with an older MacMini that can’t go beyond 10.13.6, it will not control any Apple Music content. A remote should be software agnostic, but clearly Apple wants to push us to new hardware and software and refuses to give even basic control.

Can be difficult to set up the first time, with no explanation for failures. Does not maintain connection while playing, so there is always a delay when opening the app to address a song. Does not appear on the lock screen or upper right hand corner of the remote device while playing music on the host.

Bulletproof and does exactly what you want - except for one thing. It doesn’t have a stop button. The whole point of a remote is to be able to control remotely. You can pause, but you can’t stop. If you’re using it as part of a home music system, particularly if as I do with a dedicated Mac Mini, it lessens its functionality. Five stars otherwise.
