I love the app it’s very informative and easy to understand but sometimes when using on iPad it won’t show all the words or options it’s like it needs to zoom out to show everything but can’t. Other than that I absolutely love it and highly recommend

I’ve written a review for this app before, was in touch with the app developers before, etc. I love how the creators really listen to the criticism/suggestions from their customers. The app has grown a lot from what it started from. Something I am very confused about and don’t like and that has consistently been the same is that with every new update, all the recipes I’ve saved/favorited get removed??? I’ve been paying for this app for a year and every update erases all the progress I’ve made in the learning module, it erases my cooking history, and it erases all the recipes I’ve saved. It frustrates me to NO END. Like now I have to go through and try to remember everything I’ve cooked so I can look them up and favorite/save them again?? Why is this an issue EVERY TIME?? At a certain point I have to wonder if other apps have this issue? I’m paying for my account, the LEAST I can expect is for the recipes I’ve favorited to save?? Otherwise I love this app. Also love that kosher is now available!!

holy, this app is literally amazing, it’s so simple and it makes cooking fun! You can either buy their membership for a year for $80 OR just simply watch a few ads and keep it free. if you’re someone who is afraid to cook or doesn’t know where to start, this app is for you! One thing I would suggest is putting the calories and protein amount in each meal for those, like me, who are watching their calorie intake 💪🏻(maybe that’s already a thing and I just can’t see it lol)

I have been wanting to download this app for months! I finally got to it after this new update. It was a little tricky trying not to subscribe but I did it. However, the app then offered me a 7 day trial for free and that just overwhelmed me. I felt immense pressure to start utilizing the app and doing everything. I deleted the app right away because I couldn’t handle that pressure. Could the developers perhaps have a maybe later button for me to explore premium? If that’s done I’ll reconsider downloading :) Thank you!

I've been using this app for over a year, and now without warning you just Pay Wall barricade us, Duolingo would never!

It’s sad that learning some basic cooking skills has been locked behind an overpriced paywall. Some people could really benefit from these lessons but the new platform doesn’t allow you to continue lessons after the trial ends. If Zest wants to be the “Duolingo of cooking” as one user put it, then they should consider ads for non-paying users.

Zest is a great app. Sassy (or zesty) written commentary in recipe instructions, extremely informative videos, and continuously improving, like with the delivery of their latest feature, recipe imports - this function does appear to be AI, with the “zestify” feature importing the recipe in the typical format of the app. My only complaint is that they don’t add more recipes fast enough. Other than that, I just love this app. I accidentally bought the year long subscription by forgetting to end the free trial, and I’m honestly not even that mad about it. Zest has completely re-inspired my love for cooking

My girlfriend and have been using this app for quite a few months now. Tonight we wanted to go back and remake a recipe we hadn't made in a few weeks, only to find everything is locked between a substantial paywall. It is unbelievable that the dev's of this app would all of a sudden lock everything behind a paywall as an "experiment', knowing very well they won't walk it back. Hope the money is worth it.

You call yourself the Duolingo of cooking, but even they had a free to use version of it. Locking all of this behind a paywall is just disappointing.

Honestly I would continue to pay for premium after my trial if it was an option for me right now, such an amazing service and i’ll be keeping it for my cooking needs. I can’t wait until they expand their menu and options even more than they already have. Found them through instagram and i’m glad i did me and my friends have used it plenty!
