Tell companies to stop selling your data We’ll file requests on your behalf, ordering companies to stop selling your personal information. Delete your data with a tap When it’s time to delete your data from a company’s database, Permission Slip will handle the requests for you. • Over charged

It said this was $59.99. I was charged $68.88. I cannot talk to anyone about this extra charge We have been working on this. The permission Slip people have worked to help me find the answer that they did not charge more than the $59.99. I paid with Apple Pay and they sent me a statement that included other subscriptions but did not list them. I thought it was all charged by PS. This is a good company to deal with.

And without warning, we now have to pay for it. I guess it’s not enough that I subscribe to consumer reports which has proven to be quite useless in the last year or so. I may just cancel it all.

This was free and as a CR subscriber it should remain free. I am not going to subscribe to yet another app or service. I’m done.

I had high hopes for this app when I first learned about it. But soon I realized that all it’s just useless app containing a contact list for submitting opt out request and do not sell requests. The user has to submit the request themselves, and include a written, hard copy request in some cases. Hopefully, CR will spend some $$$ on programmers to make it functional. When they do, I will reinstall;it. In the interim, I’ll just use the contact info on the websites to submit my request and save my iPad’s disc space for apps that actually perform the task they are supposed to perform.

They are an independent and nonprofit they only ask for donations. They also went through the time to go through the terms and conditions of these companies, so you know exactly what data can be collected from you. I know it works because occasionally I get a reply email from whatever company had my data!
  • Don’t waste your time

I only found one company I deal with on the list of companies the app will contact for you. For all others they show you how to send in your own request. You will need to send in a different request for every company you want to stop selling your info., etc. Setting up an account for Permission Slip was a complete waste of time.
  • Not life changing

I thought the entire premise would be that the app would do all the work for you. Not the case in over 95 percent of companies listed that I have accounts with right now. If you would like to opt out, here is a link. Now go do what the app said it would do.
  • Does this app do anything?

After using the app nearly 9 months I deleted it and my account. Most of my requests either went unanswered or were denied. I gave 2 stars because deleting my account was super easy, which is not the norm in my experience.
  • If the service is free, your info is the product

You have to OPT OUT of permission slip’s sale of your data which, as the entire premise of the app is to do just that, I think that is implied that we don’t want them selling our data to social media and ad networks but what do I know Since most people don’t read the privacy policy I’m sure the app will still be a grand success.
