the sock is literally next to the wifi box, i don't know how it is not getting connection, and i don't even have a lot of devices on the wifi to say that's the reason it's not connecting. I have to constantly wait for the camera to load, last night it didn't even want to show me anything.

Very upset that features included when I bought this Machine 2 years ago have been taken away and put behind a paywall. I have quit using this and gone with a non wifi model so that doesn’t happen again. Also camera broke within 2 years. Sound and motion no longer set off camera.

This app needs a widget asap. I would love the ease of not trying to keep my app open constantly. I can just tap on my phone.

I’d say the app works about 70% of the time, and when you have a newborn baby that’s just not acceptable. App constantly says WiFi connection is bad when my WiFi is perfectly fine, and it won’t load at all. 10/10 wouldn’t recommend the camera.

Attaching to a hidden WiFi is a pain. Then when the WiFi fails or the phone disconnects I lose the monitor. The app takes a long time to refresh and get the video back. I haven’t tried it on another phone but not having a monitor when I am one room over is frustrating. The dream sock works great but there is a minimum distance to the base before it starts chiming. I love the Picture in Picture but I don’t trust that it is a live feed because of the video freezing. It acts up towards the end of the month.

This product has been designed to look nice at the cost of function. The base station should have at least one more button for turning off the sensor for washing. The fact the system doesn’t work with 5Ghz is extremely inconvenient. The app is slow and glitchy. The app is worse designed than free apps like Huckleberry. It is not user friendly and does not allow you to view the sleep data graph after the sleep session is over. I would not recommend this product because of the glitchiness of the app since the delay in loading often causes the alarm to go off longer than necessary and it exacerbates my infants’ crying because the app won’t load so I can turn it off! The alarm goes off when I bring my son to my bedroom. Why is the sensor so short? Basic Bluetooth has better range. Also this thing heats up my son’s foot. That hasn’t been addressed anywhere whether that is safe. The tech is not good. The product looks nice but the tech is not what you would expect for the price.

I will save you all a few hundred dollars. RUN!!! Do not buy any of their products. Literally the opposite of what you would expect this app to do. Constantly alerts when nothing is wrong which wakes our baby, the data is always attempting to load and when our baby is moving around wide awake it says she’s sleeping. Useless.

This gives me peace of mind and that’s worth most of the score here. But it disconnects from the base station WAYYY too easily. I can be in the same room with a clear line of sight to the base station with my son and it will start complaining at the worst time. Like when I’m feeding him. It’s really frustrating and the beeping drives me crazy. I can’t silence the bloody thing until I can reach for my phone when that happens. Please fix this. If this thing didn’t give me so many false alarms I would be in love with it.

At night, when the Owlet alarm goes off, I don’t immediately think “there’s something wrong with my baby”. I think “I have to get out of bed and reset the sock because it’s not on his foot right”. This item gives some peace of mind but overall isn’t very good. You will spend hours of your life trying to get it to ensure “proper sock placement”. I don’t know if there’s a fix, but overall I’m not very happy with this product.

I am a first time mom so don’t get me wrong this is a wonderful thing to have. The sock works great and connects well to the app. The cons I have on this is for the video playback. It is very patchy on the videos. it acts like it has a video saved then freezes during playback. Sometimes the live video will freeze then fast forward through the last 2 minutes of what was happening.
