Honestly my husband and I planned nothing, I just knew I wanted to go to DV and so we booked a car and googled guides. This one was absolutely fantastic, silly, doesn’t skip a beat, points out everything even if not on the list to stop in case you want to on your own. 10/10 recommend

We did the whole Hāna Loop, the sunset at Haleakalā and part of the west loop of Maui. We loved our guide, the music and felt like every stop they recommended was the right one. Saved us time, kept us safe and showed us the best places. Loved it and hope to do again someday!! Thank you Shaka team!

We loved using Shaka guide. The reason for not giving 5 stars was that directions sometimes did not tell you when the road split which way to go. I would highly recommend using this guide still!

I chose a tour, paid for it and thought that was it, I can listen, but it was not so. After paying, it turned out that I needed to create a profile, provide a lot of information, only in this case there is a chance to use the paid service. In the parks there is often a bad connection, I did not manage to create a profile and I also did not manage to listen to the guide. I wrote to support the next day, but they never responded. From start to finish this app was amazing. The narrator is funny and keeps you engaged. The articulation of the directions was spot on and took us to some amazing spots on the Road to Hāna. The return trip back, the narrator told the story of Hawaii, and how it became part of the United States. Very interesting story. I was a little skeptical when I purchased it, but to my surprise, this was an excellent purchase. I will purchase through this app again if I do any self guided tours. Thank You!!!

Love this app!! It makes road traveling specifically interesting and informative. This takes long stretches of what used to be music with historical stories and can take the place of navigation duties as well! Perfect for finding great detours and interesting spots most people miss!

I haven’t tried all the other tours but I have to say I truly enjoyed the Road to Hana Tour. It does take all day and requires a lot of driving but the narrator gives good advice and great stops along the way. I truly felt like I saw all the main stops in Maui. I definitely plan to use this app for other tours around the US.

In 2021 I purchased my first Shaka Guides for a multiple Hawaiian Island vacation. In the four year since I have purchased all the guides they have come out with, using 14 of them so far. I have tried a few others and like theirs the best.
