When the power goes out and comes back on, Boingo will keep you covered and stay offline for another 6 more hours! But wait! Theres more! They say they’ll push out outage notifications, it’s 2025 and this app is a year old. Still no outage notifications have been pushed out in the app. Done from a long days work, working from 0600 to 1600 possibly 2000 on a busy day. You get in your room to play a game, ALL WHICH REQUIRE INTERNET NOW, and Boingo is doing overnight maintenance. 👍🏼 Get your own routers and get a plan with spectrum, they’re spotty as well, but have great customer support and actually communicate when they are having issues.
  • Scam/Worst Internet

The internet isn’t even dodgy at best. It’s non existent. You might get lucky in an airport but not on any military installation across the globe. They charge you like 60 bucks for wifi that’s only 50gb. Don’t bother. Go to Verizon, optimum, AT&T or any other internet provider and pick up a modem. Because the wifi wont work on base. Let alone your barracks. So do yourself a favor. Go out and pick up a modem and save 15-30 dollars on GOOD internet. Aka anything but Boingo. It’s more like BOIN-NOGO!

It’s definitely not special. For $50 a month you can connect up to 3 devices on the network. That’s the cheapest option. The WiFi doesn’t even work on my phone period, it does however work on my PS5 and my laptop. It’s quick when it works, but it experiences tons of outages. I’ve been back on deployment for 4 months now and I have counted around 10+ outages. It may not seem like a lot, but these outages are often a couple of hours long. If you’re comfortable with that, then it’s a decent service. One thing I should mention is that if the weather is horrible, the WiFi will not go out. Snow, storms, etc, the WiFi still stands pretty strong. The outages seem like an internal issue rather than an external issue. Customer service is generally helpful if you need to speak with them.

Doesn’t stay connected, or doesn’t let you connect in the first place. Not to mention terrible speed for the price, I can get any other service with 10 times the speed for the same price

Waste of $75. WiFi isn’t good for playing any video games on an Xbox. Get kicked out of any online game mode within 5 minutes.

Paying for this internet in the barracks at JBLM and it has constant outages and when it does work the internet is weak. Would definetly recommend setting up an xfinity router if this as it has not worked for me at all.
