  • Rude devs

Is a good app, they added an option to be paid for their efforts, which is fair and imo reasonable, but they went about doing it in the second rudest way possible. A confusing huge popup in the preview window. Yeah, not trustworthy. update. response: It is not about the money, it is a fair pricing. It is the way you took a huge part of my screen in an update. It is scummy. That does not point towards someone that I would like to trust with my files. Even if it is free forever, I can not trust anything you made by you anymore.
  • DO NOT UPDATE

Unbelievable. The developers of this app have turned it from something that was decent and useable to something scummy. Review reader, ask yourself if you would be okay with the following: With the most recent update, you now have a constant. large, floating, red button on *every* *single* file preview in Finder that Glance supports. If you wish to get rid of this? That's fine, just clik the BIG red X, and pay them $9.99. Otherwise, well you're out of luck, because this app that you've been using for years that was free is now suddenly not just polietly asking you to support - which many apps do in an unintrusive way - they are putting it in your face with every single file preview you now will look at. Developers: your app, is NOT worth $9.99. I'm sorry but it's the truth. It does not support enough file types, runs too buggy for that price, and it's a bad practice what you've done here with the newest update. It was good for what it was, and how it functioned when it was free, heck I would even have paid up to $4.99 for it. But I would not and will not pay a single cent for an app whose developers shove their "support" button in my face whenever I am just passively browsing and happen to be already previewing a file upon opening Finder. I'm uninstalling, furthermore I think I will be reporting this to the app store as well.
  • Apple Silicon Native Available

UPDATE Now that Glance is Apple Silicon native, it installs quick/easy and works great! This is an App Store version of the QuickLook plugin available on GitHub. Unfortuantely it is still based on Intel and requires Rosetta to run on Apple Silicon. I did not run for this reason, so I do not how well or poorly it works.
  • Works great with php and zip files

I loaded this to see the contents of zip files and see syntax highlights in php code using Quick Look. I just upgraded to version 2.0, which fixed some prior bugs and is now a universal app which supports Apple Silicon. Now it gets 5 stars. Great update!
  • Not displaying full markdown

I have some markdown files with horizontal line breaks in them, and this quicklook is hiding some contents between the horizontal lines. The content was not a yaml, and they were not at the top of the page. I don't know why this version of Glance is not displying the full markdown.
