'Build a Garden' is a creative activity. It contains the creators’ feelings towards nature while creators are building their ideal garden. 'Build a Garden AR APP' is developed by Design and Cultural Studies Workshop and funded by the Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust under the 'How Memory Sticks 2.0' Arts Tech and Culture Education Programme. The APP is designed for the general public to grasp how people and nature harmoniously coexist in traditional culture by applying augmented reality (AR) technology. This programme hopes to make use of technology as a key to unlock the door of culture, history, and imagination of the general public. Using this APP, the public can decode the ‘cultural password’ of architecture, gardens and living spaces. Hopefully, this APP will successfully arouse the public interest to explore the artistic and cultural fields further and deeper. * This APP requires the use of augmented reality (AR) technology by Apple to operate. For more information about the supporting software, please click the following link. https://www.apple.com/hk/en/augmented-reality/ *For a better user experience, the recommended device and system requirements are as follows: Devices: iPhone 11 or later, iPad Pro (4th generation), iPad (9th generation or later), iPad Air (4th generation), iPad mini (6th generation) Systems: iOS 15 or later * This APP requires access to phones or tablets’ camera to scan the AR marker or planes. It is highly recommended that you run the APP in sufficient light. If the APP operates abnormally, the defaults may be caused by unscannable AR markers or planes. We suggest scanning from different angles or various planes with abundant light. Please restart the APP if necessary.
