  • Worst app you'll ever use, but it's the only one out there

    I've never reveiewed any product or app before, but I was so compelled by how poorly Shot Tracer Pro works that I had to write this. Shot Tracer Pro is not even beta level. It is full of bugs and odd, random behavior. When it actually works, it is fine, but that is maybe 50% of the time, and that might be generous. It also takes 10-15 minutes to export a simple 30 second clip. The longer the clip, the longer it takes, and therefor it changes how I actually shot my videos and how I create. This app is a malignant. It wouldn't be such a big deal, but they charge $15 a month to use it. It should be a free app. The only reason it still exists is because there are no other apps available that do this type of thing. If Adobe or anyone competent wanted to create a tracer app, something that follows a moving object in a video, they would put these guys out of business literally overnight, and they could charge more for it than $15. (Hint, hint.)

    I have been using this app for a few months now. It started to make the colors all faded and pale when I would export the traced shots. Thought it was because of the bluetooth mics I was using... but I'm tracing clips that don't have a mic connected and they're STILL FADED. This shouldn't be happening and it's making my videos look terrible.

  • Won't launch.

    Really wish I could at least evaluate the app. Won't even launch on my 2019 MBP running Ventura 13.4.1. I paid for the Shot Tracer app on my iPad, and it won't do 4K videos, says you can do that on the Mac app, so here I am. But, to no avail sadly. Hopefully the developers can improve the app's usability, looks like it could do cool things if it works.

    Report this app to Apple and make these developers fix the app. Crashes all the time/wont open and even when it does open its EXTREMLEY buggy. 90 dollars for year subscription is a SCAM for an app this unreliable

    I got this when it first came out and it had potential. Now, it's just unusable. It almost never tracks shots automatically and I can't track them manually. C'mon y'all. If this works, it's worth the money, but right now, it is not worth a penny

    I was never able to even us the app. I tried importing video for me to use I would get the spinning wheel of death. I contacted support and they wer NOT helpful at all and told me to just call Apple to get a refund. This didn't solve anything. Wasted so much money for nothing. Y'all its a joke.

  • Making My Job Difficult

    Manual shot tracking frame by frame does not work any more... I must use spline to have it be consistent. And even then i cannot trace a shot outside the boundary of the video like i could before with the spline. This application also crashes all the time, even more than the update before. It is really doubling the time of my production because i do about 40-60 tracers per video for a client. And not to mention auto shot detection only works 4% of the time out of a sample of over 600 shot traces. Please fix this. You have a lot of potential money you are missing out on, and i'm losing money using your software. You guys have no idea you could corner this market.

    Did you guys just get lazy? You see all of these complaints and yet you do nothing about it? How hard can it be to hire a better programmer to help you achieve the Trackman status? I think maybe I am going to start my own company and make the ultimate Trackman for personal use.

    Apple is just letting anyone upload crappy apps and sell them a monthly or yearly subscription without actually checking to see if the darn thing works. This application will literally do nothing but take up space on your device. God forbid you use try and use the app for its intended for.
