As someone who tries to use D&D beyond’s character playing option (ie the ability to interact with the characters you make on D&D Beyond), I find it frustrating that the characters don’t seem to factor in bonuses or abilities from things like magic items (ie if the character has a ring of protection equipped, the sheet doesn’t add the +1 AC bonus of the ring to the characters AC), you just have to remember. Remembering consistently, especially when in the heat of the moment, can be hard.
  • Compass Error

App started having a compass pop up continue to flicker in screen trying to get me to calibrate it. It won’t stop. I’ve tried to uninstall. Restart my iPad. Frustrating. I can not use it anymore.

This is a great app. Except for when you purchase content and it never shows up. I have purchased multiple books on this only to be unable to access the content.
  • Very nice, but one problem with marketplace

Very good in my opinion, but whenever I want to buy, lets say, the owlin race, I can't just find a button for additional purchase options like there used to be. DnD Beyond REMOVED the ability to purchase individual things from a sourcebook, now if I want that owlin, I need to buy ALL of Strixhaven. This can easily be fixed by readding that button and there! It's all better. Until then, I must wait for it...

$56 later and I still can’t unlock the race that I want to use. What a ripoff
  • D&D Beyond is amazing!

My main complaint about it is I wish you could buy a physical official D&D book and be able to use the benefits in D&D Beyond. That would make my campaign so easy. Maybe with a code or something. Of course this is just a suggestion for repairing a discouraging problem but this fix would be super beneficial to D&D players.
  • Yawning portal Issues.

Ever since the Yawning Portal book was condensed into a single volume, the Legacy Statblocks for the wizards in Dead in Thay don’t show up in searches. It’s not a serious problem, but it is one I’d like to see resolved.
  • The best place to start + some feedback

Obviously the best place to start with new players and most veterans (if they aren’t too crusty and set in their ways). Feedback: It would be very useful for me to be able to see both the Game Log *and* the list of PCs simultaneously on my iPad. I could then see their rolls and view their character sheets while occasionally rolling on their behalf when needed. The developers already allow Split View on iPad OS, for which I am grateful, but allowing 2 D&D Beyond apps to run side by side in Split View would be much more useful. It would also be helpful for me to be able to roll as the DM from the Game Log for two reasons: I could still roll as DM even while looking at a PC's character sheet in the above Split View scenario, and alternatively I could roll as DM when just viewing the Game Log on my iPhone.

But not as many options as the browser version, I wish it had more options

I own physical copies. I should be able to enter a serial number or something to not have to pay for them a second time. Especially because your character creator still isn’t working. Not sure what I’m paying for when I can’t use it.
