Monthly sub doesn’t come with access to all character building options

I can’t believe I gave you the 6 dollars I just did. I have the actual physical copies of the books and just wanted an easy character making app for my new players so I paid the monthly sub and low and behold it turns out I have to buy the players handbook through the app to gain access to all subclasses???? Come on. Are you that money hungry?
Lathander would be disappointed.
THE BEST WAY TO MANAGE CHARACTERS

D&D Beyond is the best way to teach friends and family how to play D&D super easily. with the character builder, and the free books for both 5e and 2024 edition it makes teaching how to play easy.
It’s solid but still has room for improvements

I like having all the resources in one place. And functionally it easy to use. It has a host of capabilities that I don personally use because I only play actual table tops and not VTT. It really is a great system but here are a few improvements that I would like to see.
1. I have an owned and downloaded library. Why do I need internet connection to access it? I live and work in areas without great service. I would like to read up and do prep on my breaks but I can’t . An on a few occasions, I basically had to shut down or leave an in person game because I could not access to my characters or my campaign book.
2. It needs a link to the Market Place so that I can also just order physical products too from the same place.
3. The search function needs to have more advanced settings. Simple quotation search would be very helpful. I should be able to look up a rule like “long rest” and only have the 50 results of the instances that those 2 words are used together instead 2000 instances of long and and rest used separately and as parts of other words.
4. It would be nice to be able to organize my owned books. I don’t like searching in my whole library to find the book I just purchased.
Add a back button

Trying to find a level appropriate monster by type. I search by the specific type and open the first entry. It doesn’t quite fit, so I hit the back button. It closes the book, and there is no way to return to the search results. So, I have to search again. Every. Single. Monster. There are forums and threads from 2019 asking for this change.

As a seasoned player I love the idea of books letting you use more monsters but if you could scan the same book you bought somewhere else to do the same thing it would be twice as good.
Great for players could use more for the dm

The app is convenient and easy to use. It would be even better if it had more dm facing features. It would be great be able to manage encounters and adjust homebrew stats when I am sitting somewhere away from home with time to kill.

I love this app and all my players use it however one thing that is a bit of a grip is a lot of the class features are locked behind paywalls of buying the books virtually, if there is a way to scan the books I own into the app let me know because I have already payed for much of these book physical copies. Still very good app overall.

My gosh this is one of the best apps I use day to day. It’s so handy to not have to worry about lugging 30 or more pounds of character sheets, sourcebooks, and stat blocks to every session. All I have to worry about now is bringing my phone. The fact that I no longer need a character sheet to play is so nice. No more constantly erasing and writing over things like health and spell slots until I can hardly tell what it says (Not to mention the fear of accidentally writing in pen that we all have is gone). My only problem is that my Wizard characters don’t have any built in limit of the number of spells that they can have in their spellbook at any time. So I have been having to manually limit my spellbook (I specifically use Beyond to not have to do things manually) and it’s getting tedious. Please fix that if you can. Other than that, get this app now!
What are you still doing down here reading this, there’s dungeons to conquer and dragons to slay!
