    Beware the information provided on the pocket prep is not nearly enough for preparation. You are better off using the book as your main study guide

    I have been using this app and even purchased the premium version to assist in my CISSP prep. Sometimes the wording can be a little confusing in some of the questions but I think it is a fantastic tool to add to your study routine. It helps to keep me practicing even when I have some downtime. I’ll let you know how it goes!

    This app is amazing for studying and prepping for multiple choice exams. It was a godsend when studying for my network+ and security+. It’s a great value when considering how much you can get out of the app. If you’re willing to put in the time to grow from taking the quizzes and learning the questions you miss, you will be guaranteed to pass your next exams. Overall, I would highly recommend. Good luck to those currently studying for certs!

    The SSCP questions are terrible, poor explanations or outright wrong at times. The CompTIA material is ok, but I would avoid it for anything else.

  • Not suitable for your main exam “prep”

    I’ve used pocket preps EMS version and that was amazing. I expected this to be just as good and was not. I used it for Network+ to study when I couldn’t be on a computer. There are a lot of questions that were not applicable to Network+. Also at $20/mo it is way too expensive since it can only be used as an addition to study material. I would recommend the makers use a different source to pull their questions from.

    Recently completed required training prep courses for CMMC. Both CCP and CCA question sets from PocketPrep were essential to driving in the key elements on the trivia exams.

    I passed my CISSP exam first try and I’d largely attribute that to Pocket Prep. After taking the exam, I’d say that their questions were able to prepare me well for a test where the questions are impossible to replicate with how closely ISC2 guards them. I’d highly recommend this app. You’ve got to put in the work, reps and time but none of that will be wasted with this app.

    **UPDATED REVIEW** As of 11/23/24, this app helped me get 4 CompTIA certifications, and I am currently studying for my Linux+ with the app. In my original review, I did mention the pricing, when I first used the app, you bought the exam you were testing for, and that was it. Now, they have changed their pricing model to a monthly subscription of 20$ a month. While I wasn’t to keen on that happening, I also understand they are a business, and that pays their bills (and employees lol). Overall, it’s a great app and even with the price changes, I will continue to use their app so long as I am not blindsided by any other major pricing changes.

    I don’t think I’ve ever left a review for an app, but this one deserves one. Out of all the materials out there to help with studying for the CASP+, this is the resource that I used the most. I like how you can set your exam date and keep track of how much you’re studying on a given day. Completing the daily question got me into the app on a daily basis, and then I stuck around to do some of the quizzes. It does a great job of showing you which areas you may need to focus on more, as well as tells you where in the official books to brush up on topics. I completed the entire base of questions and then went back through tue questions I missed. I like that you can also flag questions and return to view explanations of the correct answers. The UI is very well designed and user friendly. Great job Pocket Prep team and thank you!

    This app gives a comprehensive view of many of the items that have appeared of the CASP exam, for example. The wording of the questions, in so far as they are open ended and require a level of critical thinking, were very similar to ones seen on the exam and it really helped familiarize me with the different materials I could be exposed to.
