  • Ui issues, it's not free.

    couldn't press the buttons for the privacy policy, they were almost entirely off the screen. It took a bunch of fidgeting with the text box scroll to get them to show a bit more, however they were never fully on the screen. Seems pretty basic to get this right. Button and navigation issues in other areas of the app as well. If comments were imported from the original app, mine are deleted. The functionality seems a bit better but it's not up to today's standards with UI functionality. Certainly not something I would pay for.

    Original was easy and fun to use, felt like a community. New version is terrible, have to download every area you want to see and pay quite an exorbitant fee for usage.

    The amount of data this app collects to track you and sell, is obscene and makes it essentially spyware. I won’t accept having my data sold and neither should you.

    Harder to navigate, you can’t see anything from version 1 unless you now pay money. Plus it requires downloads state by state. The original still works till they delete it and shut it down. This is essentially a useless app and s money grab. I have been traveling full time fir the last few years trying to use the original. Nothing was managed or improved. Complaints are occasionally responded to with one liners like “that’s not good” with no follow up or issues being addressed. I suggest you try other apps as ioverlander is no longer relevant or of any value.

    Requires expensive subscription. Would consider it for 1/3 of the price. I read the justification for creating v2 and they make sense. Still the subscription service is too expensive.

    Insane that you are asked to pay to view or download any sites outside of a 5mb region. Ads plastered on every screen if that wasn’t enough. I could run the backend for this on my 2015 iMac, get a grip.
