Description

SIMPLE, EASY & FAST CALORIE COUNTING Calory is your ultimate calorie counter and a quick way to count, track & tally your calories during the day. WHY COUNT CALORIES? Everyone has a personalized number of calories they should eat every day based on factors including their weight, height, activity levels, and weight loss/maintenance/gain goals. It’s hard to track calorie intake, though, not least because it’s easy to forget everything you eat during a busy day. Recording your calories as you eat gives you a clearer picture of the calories you are consuming. It also enhances your awareness of food values and nutrient levels, all of which helps you make healthier choices when eating. HOW CALORY WORKS Based on your weight, height and activity level, Calory will calculate a suggested daily calorie goal for you. The daily goal will also factor in if you want to maintain, lose or gain weight. After you know your daily energy requirements, your challenge is to eat the right number of calories. Calory, meanwhile, will remind you throughout the day to record your calorie intake. Even better, there is no registration or sign up required! All the information you enter into Calory is stored on your iCloud, protecting your privacy. GREAT CALORY FEATURES ※ Quick Value Add: Instantly add calories you have consumed ※ Create custom plates based on your preferences ※ Daily Calorie Intake Calculator: Advised daily intake tailored to your needs ※ Journal View: Alternative home screen to see all of your data at a glance ※ Today Widget: Quickly log favorite plates ※ Siri Shortcuts: Let Siri log your food ※ Apple Watch app: Quick calory counting on your wrist ※ Apple Health integration: Read/write dietary data to Apple Health ※ Keep track of your weight: Read/write weight from Apple Health ※ Daily history snapshot where you can review your logged meals ※ Weekly, monthly, and yearly progress charts: A fantastic overview that also helps you make comparisons ※ Custom Reminders / Notifications to keep you on track ※ Dark Mode! ※ Multiple theme colors to choose from so you can customize Calory ※ Ability to change the App Icon ※ NO registration or sign up required! I have had lifetime premium since December 2021. Just now, I was setting the app up on a new device, and it had lifetime listed as purchased. When I clicked on the “purchased” button, it popped up a screen to pay for lifetime for $35. I tried to take a screenshot of the fact that it was doing this, my device counted it as Touch ID (even though the stupid thing never registers my fingerprint the first time, but I digress) and it charged me $35. I immediately went to request a refund. It’s not an option. I assume this is while it’s pending, but until it’s refunded this is a ZERO star for me. Truthfully, even after it’s refunded it might be. If I go into the app, it will let me buy lifetime for $35 again. I’m assuming infinitely, but I won’t be testing the theory. I took a very careful screenshot of this occurring. I have screenshots of my original 2021 order, it charging me again today, today’s order, and it popping a pay screen again. Incredibly unhappy that this is now something I have to deal with. Will be livid if they won’t refund me.

I have been using this app for a few months. I even paid for the lifetime membership so I could see my macros. But the app is very inaccurate. When recording my food onto the app most times it says “nothing found” when I try to scan the barcode of the item. And sometimes, it scans the barcode, but brings me to something different. Once I scanned the barcode for a cookies and creme Lindt chocolate bar. And it brought me to something that was strawberries and creme, with different calories and macros. Also when I try searching by the name, most times I am unable to find it. So I manually have to calculate the amount of calories and manually log that into the app. Which defeats the purpose of having it in the first place honestly. Also, I am a strong coffee drinker, I drink at least 2 cups of coffee per day, sometimes I also have chocolate and even sodas, all of these have caffeine. Even though I log them in, somehow if I check my macros at the end of the day I still have consumed 0mg of caffeine? That does not make sense. If you are searching for a good calorie counting app I would not recommend using this until it is updated.

Very simple and huge selection of meals and their macros all ready built in, but is just a little overpriced just for a calorie counter. (4.99 a month/17.99 a year)

I have really enjoyed using calory for my fitness and overall health. I love how customizable it is, how easy it is to use and that it syncs flawlessly with apple health. I paid for the lifetime subscription and it’s so worth it. That being said I would LOVE to see exercise as something in the app. Either we can add exercises in it or see the calories burned with exercise that we’ve recorded with smartwatches etc. Other than missing exercise it’s great!
  • Looks great, is hard to navigate

I think this app looks the best, but their search query for food is absolutely atrocious. I can’t find anything I search for and the brands that are available are not relevant. I end up searching for the calories online and just using this as a calculator which defeats the entire purpose

I love the calorie counter because sometimes it’s easy for me to just input calories. I don’t want to search food items because I’ve already weighed my foods and used the food labels.
  • Great but needs work
