  • Owner is anti-vegan

I’m sure this’ll encourage some carnivore diet morons to support the business, but if anyone is plant based or at the very least appreciates that plant based diets can be health promoting when done right, then be aware that the owner of this app who claims to be researched-based makes statements to suggest that a vegan/plant based diet is inferior based on bias.

Good app. I don’t worry about input being incorrect like MyFitnessPal (like multiple macro options for plain chicken breast). I do wish you could put the time down when you had the meal and also be able to have different macros different days. Like if you have high carb and low carb days.

I’m disappointed there’s no where to keep track of my water intake. I have to keep track on a separate tracker I feel like i paid too much money for what i get in this tracker- my free one seems to work better for me

Started using the app October 13 and it’s logging weight automatically from Apple health from October 6, which I don’t want it to do. I want my diet to be started from October 13, but apparently it’s taking my weights from before October 13 into the algorithm. I tried resetting the data. I do want to connect it to Apple health. But when I start a new diet, I don’t want it to take old weights from before the diet into account. Just frustrating

It’s nearly impossible to accurately log food with this app. It’s doesn’t know anything! I had actually canceled my MyFitnessPal subscription to try this app because I had heard such good things. I lasted a week before I got so frustrated that I went back to MyFitnessPal. There’s no point if you can’t accurately log your food.

I’m comparing this app to MyFitnessPal and other apps like it. The barcode scanner is pretty good. Because of the high price point for entry I do see a slightly shrunken barcode library. However, they offset this with an excellent label reader. I may even place it above MyFitnessPal because you do have to pay for the barcode reader in MyFitnessPal and the last I knew it could not read labels as accurately as this one does. One thing MyFitnessPal has on this is the suggested meals. If you have a consistent combination of four or five foods, you will have to type in and search each of those each time. I think that’s where the comparisons to MyFitnessPal and because the fact that you have the ability to use trend weight and that the app automatically adjust your suggested calories based on your results so that you are much more likely to see the results that you’re looking to achieve. For me as well, and I think for other people, too, the idea of flexible, dieting specifically to support lean muscle mass and giving you freedom to eat other things makes the social aspect of trying to lose weight much easier. I’ve done low-carb, keto, if it fits my macros, simple calorie counting, weight watchers, And so I am a notorious yo-yo dieter. So the idea that I can plan more calories on a Sunday so that I can have a donut after church and not ruin my week makes the whole experience more palatable. It’s a great app, it’s cheaper than MyFitnessPal plus, And they seem to be consistently working to improve the tech in the app, so I am hopeful that this suggested foods feature from MyFitnessPal earlier will make it in here eventually. Until then, I will enjoy the fact that I feel much healthier tapping away my searches. 😉
  • Good, but would like to see some features added.

I think it’s a good app. I’m not sure if it’s good for major weight loss, as it wants me to eat 200+ (almost 300) grams of protein daily. I’m not even sure that’s physically possible. I want to gain muscle and lose fat. I also don’t quite understand the unique value proposition of the app. How is it that much different from Noom or MyFitnessPal? I’d love to see them add a food scanner, so I don’t have to weight everything; It would make me use the app more. And with the advent of A.I. and LIDAR on phones, I’m sure a somewhat accurate system could be developed.
