My only issue is that I have to remember to disconnect the VPN if I want to update this app. The past two updates I forgot, so I had to restart my phone to regain internet access and complete the updates. Edit: Thank you Proton for your response. The kill switch is the cause (confirmed with the last update). Raised my rating from 4 to 5 stars.

I honestly don’t think you can do better than these guys. Do read up on these folks if you haven’t. This is where ingenuity, experience juggling cost control and heavy security needs, and concern for the safety of clients, community, and the World all come together. Slowly planning out how best to implement a strategy that involves the use of numerous of your products and services. 😘

If your phone turns off while this is one. your phone will not connect to wifi nor data anymore.

I'm not sure what happened to the last update, but it won't even connect to anything. It's constantly trying to connect but automatically kicks itself off.

Но самое интересное что он потом определит тебя как страна к которой ты был подключен когда регался. Ну и бесплатный сервер не подключается. Но дизайн с картой мне нравится поэтому 4 звезды.

Proton's VPN is very fast, and the app has a sleek modern UI. It's been nothing short of a pleasure to use, and Proton in general is a great company to support.

Proton was very promising a few years ago but I think they may have grown too fast.

Update: The app is working well now. I mentioned I was having very slow or no connectivity. It also turned out that the app was disconnecting my Wifi when I tried to connect to a server. I’m not sure why. I restarted the iPad a few times and finally uninstalled / reinstalled the app and restarted again and it appears to be back to normal functionality. Maybe there had just been a glitch in the update. In any event, like all Proton Services, this is performing well now. It’s well-worth subscribing to the suite of services offered by Proton. I have been a subscriber to their services for some time now and recommend them to anyone looking for secure email / drive etc.

Proton makes everything harder than it needs to be. I tried to delete the ipad "free" app and download again so I could log in with a fresh profile using my paid subscription. But when I did so, my old profile persists and there's no option to delete it OR to log in using subscription credentials. The only options are to UPGRADE even tho I already have a paid subscription...OR to delete the entire account with warning language that doing so WOULD MEAN YOU COULD NEVER RESTORE IT. I guess I should be grateful for that caution anyway. This isnt the first Proton deadend I've encountered and you can't reach a live person - email only please. Of all the paid VPNs I've used, Proton has the most brick walls caused by its own failure to anticipate problems.
